Hi I'm really curious about the dynamic between Matt n TomTord in [redactedd] AU. Since Matt came into their life waaaay later there must be a sense of caution for Tord and (not-so-good) first impressions from Tom, but I think overall TomTord ends up caring for him a lot, especially since he' now pays most of his attention to finding Edd instead of his's so preoccupied with Edd's disappearance he doesn't pay much attention to his well-being.
This is my personal interpretation (god i hope you can read that) but right now i'm draw them with the vibe that "we're only in this together to find edd" so there's not a lot of time for bonding lol
Also is it ok for me to draw comic strips for them? it's not going to contribute to the lore, but tidbits that help solidify their relationship with each other. Hope you have a nice day nort!

first off: Obsessed with your interpretation of their friendships bc its basically perfect u understand their characters so well
So all of the gang were friends as kids in school. They all were in the same class and became friends through edd. After highschool they drifted apart after a bit of a falling out, but since edd's erasure, they have fractured memories of that.
So essentially, yeah. They are basically almost meeting for the first time again, but with vague recollections of "Didn't we use to hang out? What happened?"
Matt recognizes him, even though he's going by a different identity now. Tord was the first person Laurel found due to the sketchy nature of his documentation and papers.
You've basically got their initial thoughts on each other down. When they met again, Tord was originally put off by this random haggard man crazily coming up to the new rising stars of the film industry, only to recognize Matt as an old classmate. After Matt mentions Edd, memories start resurfacing but they are broken and don't make sense.
Tord has knowledge of erasing your identity and going off the grid, but every lead feels like another dead end. Who would Edd even be hiding from? What did he do? He doesn't seem like the type to get involved with a bunch of crime-lords and extremists like Tord is.
Tord has a bunch of connections that get them into places way easier. Matt is suspicious but begrudgingly grateful. It makes getting to the bottom of this mystery easier, even if it adds more questions about Tord's mysterious existence.
Matt recognized Tom quicker than he did Tord. It's not easy to forget the kid in class who has no eyes. The glasses seem redundant because of that but Tom says he needs them so!
you're correct in your assessment (once again!) Tom, despite his grumpy and uptight exterior, is a chronic worrier, especially for the people he knows. He was the one to suggest that Matt stay with him and Tord for the time being since well.. Look at Matt. He's wearing socks and Sandals.
Matt's initial reaction seeing Tom film more adult-rated movies was shock, seeing as Tom was such a prude back in school (being raised religious) and even more shocked to learn he was married to Tord. Though i guess in hindsight to matt, it made sense (Tom chooses not to question that)
Regardless, Matt is grateful as Tom takes this mystery almost as seriously as Matt does. It helps that Tom also has connections, albeit more strange ones. It helps being part demon, especially now that Matt knows that angels and magic exist.
The more mystical magical elements baffle all three of them, as they now believe that there could be higher powers at play. It doesn't help that these "higher powers" seem to be afraid of Matt and his determination. Tom serves to be a bridge between the two worlds. Tom helps to sorta make sense of all of that nonsense, seeing as he grew up with it.
Its perfect. singing your praises once again, you got their characters down to a T.
Tom and Tord have a vague recollection of a fight they had in high school before they all parted ways. Neither can agree on what it was and their memories don't line up.
They put it aside however to form a business partnership that obviously took off. Tord funds their film agency/studio and Tom takes care of legal paperwork to make sure Tord's cover isn't blown. Its a symbiotic relationship, but of course with their original dynamic gone and their maturity in age, now their feelings can grow in secret.
Yeah you basically got them down. They have feelings for each other. classic fake marriage to real feelings trope. There's too many unspoken things and secrets (like Tord's double life or Tom's occult heritage) that lead to them not confessing. Regardless their routine works out. Tord hides in plain sight, Tom gets his wish to be a film-maker.
And then a wrench named Matt launches himself into their spanners.
Now they are once again revisiting parts of their life they all forgot all while trying to solve a mystery they didn't know existed. Secrets are revealed and complications arise. It's up to them to see if they can compromise on both staying cautious of everything out to get them, while figuring out what happened to their friend Edd.
all three of them are on tense terms as all three have secrets they aren't keen on sharing if they can help it. Regardless they must work together.
