we should keep doing it. begging actually. we need more baratheons fighting with a powerful kick or using their antlered crown. we need more lannisters and starks fighting with teeth and nails. arryns being highly observant and quick on their feet.

to avoid war, rhaenyra would have needed to graciously abdicate. become the princess the high septon derisively called her, allow herself to be the realm’s delight once again. meanwhile aegon dreams of being the realm’s delight without understanding how fucking demeaning that objectification was. and how could he? how could rhaenyra do anything but fight for the crown she’d already have as a man? how could either of them see anything but green green grass on the other side? meanwhile to be a king is to be strong (violent and oppressive) and to be a princess is to be gracious (subjugated, objectified, adorned, and adored).
