no matter how insufferable i find a woman, i am careful to never make fun of her in front of a man because a man's contempt for women inevitably turns into misogyny and i wouldn't wish misogyny upon any woman regardless of how much i might dislike her.

the one thing that pisses me off truly madly deeply to the point where i cant take it in stride and is when something happens to women and people are like "how will this affect (xyz)?" as though the purpose of women in society is to be a canary in the coalmine of bigotry rather than a group whose rights are worth fighting for. like when roe v wade got rolled back and people were like "wow i bet this means marginalized groups will start to suffer soon" ok so they literally already are it's just that you dont care about women. like its so transparent they misogyny is nothing but an acceptable level of background chatter to people that it makes me want to sit down and cry

i feel like another tragedy that comes with the rise of liberal feminism and gender ideology is the bastardization of intersectionality in feminism. intersectionality was meant to acknowledge the combined bigotry that black women, lesbians, and disabled women face in the context of patriarchy, but since men can’t help themselves, now you have tras/mras screaming “if your feminism doesn’t include black men, trans women, disabled men, my brothers dog, my uncles truck it’s NOT feminism sweetie” and calling it progressive while attacking real feminists for actually caring about women.

Literally. Every major position on the left currently is just as hateful to and dismissive of and oppressive to women as the shit on the right, but the right at least pretends they're allowed to like being women. The current left position seems to be "if you like it too much, you're being phobic, but if you hate it, you must be a man," and like. That's fucking nothing. Like. That is no position to thrive from, and you better not ever dare question the current trends, or you're acting in bad faith or again being some kind of phobic. I wouldn't be drawn to "liberation" either if this is what I thought it looked like.

Imo the “bad boy who’s only nice secretly/after you get through his layers” trope in media functions as propaganda designed to get you to second guess yourself and your experiences in order to give bad men a chance. Some things need to be taken at face value and if he treats people like shit he is in fact a bad person even if he’s nice to you sometimes. Stop looking for hidden meaning and depth in his actions. He’s not misunderstood he’s just an asshole and it’s not your job to shovel through the shit to get to the disappointing “good” parts
