a couple Ianto studies for the Sunday Scaries
nine!
I just really liked the way this scene looked so I decided to draw it, it's a little crooked, because every time I sit down to paint, I just can't draw a face that looks like the original, I don't even know whyđ It might look fine on a pencil sketch, but when I pick up paint, it all goes wrong
but he s cute anyway

little portraits of all the Doctors â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
How many seconds in eternity?
she's not technically hired yet but you get the idea
After Hours
Torchwood isnât the typical office. It doesnât exactly observe normal business hours. In fact, it is quite common for Canary Wharf to accomodate employees around the clock.
Ianto Jones is used enough to late nights at the office when his job demands it, and so he doesnât think twice about staying a bit after hours to finish some urgent reports. It isnât until heâs finished with them that he realises the place has gone entirely silent. Odd, but he shrugs it off. All he needs to do now is drop off those reports in Acquisitions and heâs free to go home.
Lisa Hallett had plans for the night. She was going to have food delivered, change into her comfiest clothes, and finally watch that DVD Pippa got her for her birthday. Sheâs finishing up her shift when Ianto stops by to hand over some reports. A little awkward, after their failed first date, but a quick glance confirms that sheâs the only one still on the clock for once, so itâs not like he can approach someone else.
The stilted small talk and mild awkwardness is the least of their problems, however, as theyâll come to realise when they try to leave. Somethingâs triggered an alarm and the entire floor is on quarantine until the threatâs been dispatched. Their attempts to call other departments for help donât get them very far: thereâs something blocking the phone lines. Thatâs when the lights turn off abruptly to be replaced by the dim red glow of the lockdown emergency lights. Who decided to have red emergency lights, anyway? Ianto is going to file a complaint about it tomorrow.
But, first thing first. Cut off from the outside world, Ianto and Lisa need to work together to identify the threat and eliminate it if they donât want to be trapped in there all night. Or worse, for the rest of their lives.
Created for the @torchwoodfanfests Big Finish Challenge!
For the prompt: Torchwood One Ianto&Lisa audio, they are both working late when weird things start happening at Canary Wharf (think horror cliches like the lights keep turning on and off on their own, weird noises they canât find the source of, rooms keep moving around, rooms going from showing signs of everyday use to looking too clean and tidy with no explanation, phones donât work and doors/lifts wonât open so they canât get out or contact anyone outside) they have to solve the mystery on their own and get to know each other better as a result; set after their first disastrous date, they werenât planning to go on a second date until this happened.

and there was only one bed, canonically.
Itâs a shame to hear confirming alligations about John Barrowman and how literally whips his willy around without much warning infront of BBC Doctor Who cast and crew members.
How am I not supposed to be in love with Ianto Jones when he had a goth phase and makes extraordinary coffee and watches Murder She Wrote and can cook and dresses so weirdly and is Welsh and is perfectly content if you give him a stopwatch and has a pet pterodactyl he bought pet insurance for and fed dark chocolate to. He can write shorthand and bought a wedding dress for Gwen and was over invested in a best front lawn of the month competition and Sunday barbecues he marinated kebabs for, and he wore safety gear when he stole a forklift to save his boyfriend whoâd been trapped in cement

hey so like remember in Torchwood Outbreak when the virus is killing Jack and Ianto is sitting with him and basically says that Jack can try to kill him again later (because even then heâs just trying to comfort Jack because Jack is weak and scared and dying). Jack is like âYou donât knowâŚâ and he says it so sadly and they donât really give us contextÂ
but considering the general theme of the audio: killing the person you love more than anything, (very quintessential Jack: âIâm going to be the death of him. Itâs how it always ends.â Even Norton said he got as far away from Jack as he could because he knew it could only end one way), itâs very possible that Jack was referring to the fact that, even after all this, Ianto is uncertain about Jackâs feelings for him and kind of brushes it off whenever it comes up.Â
Jack says in the audio that there are so many people he would want to kill because heâs been in love so many times, but he thinks about killing Ianto the most. He dismisses all of them because of Ianto. Jack never says that he is so fixated on killing Ianto because Ianto is his current lover or because Ianto is closest in proximity; the virus makes him want to kill Ianto because, as we know from the House of the Dead, Jack is especially in love with Ianto. Ianto is one of the most important people Jack has ever meant (I mean, he gave up all of time and space with the Doctor who he waited over a hundred years to find, just to be with Ianto and Torchwood).
Ianto, however, doesnât see it that way. To him, itâs just the virus, and Jack only wants to kill him because heâs the only one around to be killed. He sounds surprised when Jack first says that heâs the one that really matters to Jack, that Jack wants to kill him more than anyone else. Every time Jack says he loves him, Ianto immediately says that itâs just the virus because he doesnât think Jack would ever actually say that to him. It breaks his heart and he doesnât realize how true it is, that Jack is only trying to kill him because he loves him.Â
After all is said and done, Jack is trying to apologize because he genuinely feels bad because his greatest fear (and most painful reality) is that heâs going to be the reason Ianto dies, and that was very nearly realized that day. Ianto was in lockdown with an immortal hellbent on killing him. Few people could survive that and Jack is just so grateful that Ianto did because when he said âI donât know what Iâm gonna do without youâ, that wasnât the virus talking. That was Jack, knowing he couldnât fight the virus, and already grieving.Â
So I really think when Jack said âYou donât knowâ that thatâs what he was talking about; that Ianto doesnât know just how much Jack loves him and now he might never know, because Gwen and Rhys have a similar conversation. Gwen tells Rhys that the only one she was thinking about when she was infected was him, and Rhys is kind of like âhey at least it was me and not JackâÂ
because even though Gwen tried to kill him, it was because the virus makes you want to kill the person they love the most, the last person theyâd ever want to kill. Rhys knows that it was because Gwen loves him more than anyone else that the virus made her want to kill him.
Jack and Ianto were always dancing around the topic of love, but they both said it during the outbreak. Itâd just been tainted by the virus.

No, scratch that. Thatâs not quite right.

When Andy Davidson stumbles onto a Torchwood investigation, he really does try to walk away. But itâs not long before he and Owen find themselves knees-deep in a mystery involving an empty housing development, a malfunctioning electric system, flying kitchen appliances, and really far too many skeletons for a Tuesday afternoon.
