Iâm Luffy! Guardian of the Galaxy! (A GOTG X OP Crossover)
đŤYondu slapped a hand to his forehead in disbelief, âNot only did that moron grab the wrong kid, he grabbed THREE of the wrong kids!â
Or⌠What if Terra formed completely different, What if Yondu never took the job from Ego to find Peter, what if Taserface took the job instead, and what if instead of one scared little boy; Yondu instead ends up three rowdy little brats â and one of them is rubber.

Somewhere in space
Aboard the Eclector
For as long as Captain Yondu Udonta had been a Ravager, heâd learned that if a deal sounded too good to be true, it probably was.
Admittedly, he really did consider taking this job at first. A father willing to pay a very generous amount of units just to pick up his son from a backwater planet and escort the child safely to him. Sounded like a noble cause that could be an exception to the ravager code, right?
But there was something off about this Ego guy â something that rubbed Yondu the wrong way.
Something about that glint in his eyes, the laidback attitude, and that smarmy grin; even through a hologram, the ravager captain didnât trust the look of this guy.
âSorry, âfraid Iâm gonna have to decline your offer.â Yondu said flatly.
Egoâs smile didnât fade. âI assure youââ
âNo,â Yondu said, now more firmly. âDoesnât matter how many units you offer me, what youâre askinâ me to do goes against ravager code. You best find someone else.â
The smile finally fell into a thin line. Ego stayed on, studying the ravager captain for a moment.
Finally, the Celestial being gave a nonchalant shrug, âAlright. Have it your way then.â Before closing his end of the holo-comm.
Yondu exhaled slowly and left the bridge, Kraglin following close behind.
However he couldnât shake the feeling that something would come from this interaction.
As the captain and first-mate left, Taserface waited until the door to the bridge closed behind them. Once alone, he activated the holo-comm again.
âChanged your miâ Oh!â Ego said, somewhat surprised, âYouâre not Yondu.â
âNo, Iâm not.â the ravager lieutenant replied, âUnlike Yondu, Iâm not a fool who would pass up an opportunity this good.â

Earth 1987*
In the forest of Mt. Colubo
After a long day of defeating the giant tiger that had roamed Mt. Colubo, seeing off their mentor Naguri, and hauling their prize back to the Dadan family, Ace, Sabo, and Luffy finally returned to their hideout to call it a night.
The hideout was quiet except for the crackle of the small fire Sabo had managed to coax to life.
Ace sat with his back against the wall, arms folded, eyes half-lidded but alert as always.
Sabo was seated by the fire, writing the dayâs events down in his journal.
Luffy lay flat on his back, staring through a hole in the ceiling that they were going to have to fix tomorrow, but for now, he took the time to enjoy the stars.
âWhatcha doinâ?â Luffy asked.
âRecording today,â Sabo replied without looking up. âIf we donât write it down, itâs like it never happened.â
Ace snorted. âWe hauled that tiger down the mountain. Pretty sure Iâll remember that.â
Sabo smiled faintly. âStill.â
Luffy rolled on his side. âHey what do you guys think is past the edge of the world?â
âThere is no edge.â Sabo said without looking up.
Ace added in, âThe Earthâs not flat, stupid. Itâs round like a ball!â
Luffy sat up straight, âOkay, then whatâs past the sea?â
Ace scoffed. âMore sea.â
âNo,â Luffy said, frowning. âLike⌠past all of it.â
Sabo paused his writing.
âMaybe more islands,â he said slowly. âPlaces nobodyâs ever been.â
Luffyâs eyes lit up. âWith different skies?â
Sabo scooted over to Luffy, deciding to join him in stargazing. âMaybe.â
Luffy grinned. âThen maybe thereâs a sea above the sea.â
Ace blinked. âWhat are you even talking about?â
âLikeââ Luffy waved his hands wildly, âboats that sail up instead of side-to-side!â
Sabo stared at him for a long moment, then smiled. ââŚYou might be the dumbest genius I know.â
Ace snorted. âDefinitely dumb.â
But he also joined his brothers on the floor, looking up at the stars. Enjoying this rare moment of peace.
Then they heard it.
Not the roar of an animal in the forest, nor the distant horn of a Marine ship docking or leaving port. This was different.
This was a sound that tore through the sky and shook the three boys to their cores.
âWhat was that?!â Luffy exclaimed, as the brothers leapt up to look out over the forest.
There they saw it.
Something large and metal with flashing lights flying in the sky. The brothers each held their breath, try to process what they were seeing.
The strange machine hovered in the air for what felt like a minute or two, before it shimmered oddly and then disappeared as quickly as it had arrived.
The mountain was shocked into such a heavy silence, that Ace and Sabo could have sworn they heard the collective snoring of all the nobles of Goa Kingdom from their hideout.
Luffy was the first to break the silence, âWoooowâ he said in amazement, and then broke out in a look of star-struck wonder, âWe gotta go check that out!â
The youngest brother laughed wildly as he leapt from their hideout.
âHey! Wait!â Sabo tried to stop him.
âLuffy get back here!â Ace called out.
As their little brother ran headfirst into the forest, and into trouble no doubt, the older boys quickly grabbed their weapons, two metal pipes that they wielded like staffs, before also leaping from their hideout to chase after Luffy.
The brothers didnât know it yet, but their lives were about to change in a way that none of them would have ever imagined.
âđđ´ââ ď¸â
Luffy didnât slow down.
Branches whipped past his face as he tore through the forest, running so fast that it felt like his feet barely touched the ground. His heart was pounding â not with fear, but excitement.
âLuffy, stop!â Sabo shouted from behind him.
âWe donât know what that thing was!â Ace added, breathless but gaining ground.
âI just wanna see it!â Luffy called back, laughing.
As Luffy reached a small clearing in the forest, the sky above of him suddenly lit up.
Luffy skidded to a stop so fast his heels dug into the dirt.
Hovering just above the treetops was the strange flying machine â as big as Dadanâs house, angular, its surface alive with glowing lights. It hummed softly now, no longer distant, no longer hiding.
As Luffy stared up at it, he noticed at the front of it was a window, and even though the light made it hard to see clearly, he could make out the shape of a person behind the glass.
The 7-year-old boy tilted his head curiously.
Was this⌠some kind of ship.
Ace and Sabo reached him seconds later.
ââŚWhat even is that thing,â Ace muttered.
Sabo swallowed. âI donât know, but I doubt itâs friendly.â
The ship tilted towards them.
A deep mechanical whine echoed from it, vibrating through the boysâ bones. Light spilled downward in a wide beam, illuminating the ground beneath them.
âRun!â Ace yelled.
They didnât hesitate.
The beam caught them mid-step.
The air around them seemed to grab hold â lifting, pulling, refusing to let go. Dirt and leaves tore free from the forest floor, spiraling upward.
âHeyâ!â Luffy yelped as his feet left the ground.
Ace reached for him, fingers brushing his shirt. âLuffy!â
Instinctively, Luffy stretched his arms out, wrapping them around a nearby rock with all his strength. The stone cracked under the pressure.
âI got itâ!â he shouted.
The rock tore free.
The force was too strong.
All three brothers were yanked upward, spinning helplessly as the forest shrank beneath them. Saboâs journal slipped from his pocket, pages fluttering wildly before vanishing into the trees below.
The ship swallowed them whole.
Darkness slammed into them like a wave.
To be continuedâŚ

(A/N: Thank you for reading! This is the first time Iâve ever really posted a story I came up with, and Iâm so excited. I really hope you enjoyed it!
*If youâre wondering where I came up with the year on earth being 1987, Iâll tell you. The One Piece manga was first published in 1997, and the story starts in the East Blue saga, with Luffy being 17. So I like to imagine the year in One Piece (Pre-Time Skip) is 1997; take away 10 years, when Luffy and his brothers were kids, that would make the year 1987. I just thought it was a nice touch.
Sorry for the rambling. Thank you again!)
