I've always believed in Karma being something that has helped me along the way in life. Not so much in a magical sense, where that specific act will repay you accordingly, but more like a bank account with positive and negative balances. Today, my Karma feels high. I was able to help out a professor of Africana Studies at Queens College carry her 1 bag 30 ft to her office. It was sad how hesitant she was to take my help, but great when she had nothing but praise towards me after the fact. "In my 14 years as a professor here, I have never met a gentleman quite like you", "where did you come from?" We obviously shared a laugh after that, and then i went on my way. Point is though, in these times of impending war, tragedy, pain, and suffering your hand whether big or small, black or white can start to make the difference.
