Saint Brigid or Goddess Brigid
Remember that this is not a comprehensive list, but a jumping off point! And to do your own research, if you want to learn more!
The Irish goddess associated with wisdom, poetry, healing, protection, smithing and domesticated animals, as well as new beginnings with her connection to fire.
She is said to have two sisters: Brigid the Healer, and Brigid the Smith
Her festival day is Imbolc, or the 1st of February
In Sanas Cormaic, also known as Cormac's Glossary which was written in the 9th century, writes this: "Brigit ... the female seer or woman of insight, i.e. the goddess whom poets used to worship, for her cult was very great and very splendid. It is for this reason that they call her the goddess of poets by this title, and her sisters were Brigit the woman of leechcraft (healing), and Brigit the woman of smithcraft..."
The delving into the Sanas Cormaic has made historians believe that Brigid is less of a name and more of a title.
Many things were done to further connect with Brigid the goddess, including but not limited to: making Brigid's crosses, invite Brigid into the home, eat corn cakes (cornbread gonna go crazy [no disrespect meant!]), sing sacred songs, and honor maidens/virgins.
Some symbols connected to Brigid are the Brigid's Cross, White Wand, Perpetual Flame (a flame kept alive at all times), a Mantel or Cloak, a Bride's Bed, the Star of Brigid, and the Dandelion.
Brigid of Kildare is her Christianized Saint's name.
May have ties to the British Goddess Brigantia, link below

Welcome to the third installment of Weekly Spellwork Dice Spells! Here’s how it works:
There are four six-sided dice. Die 1 determines the intention of the spell. Die 2 determines the type of magic used in the spell. Die 3 tells us magical tool the dice suggest. Die 4 tells us what the magical tip for the spell. The combination of all these dice answers help us make the spell.
The Spellwork Dice hath spoken! And they call for a…
Confidence Spell!
Die 1 decided the intention for the weekly spell should be confidence.
Die 2 told us to use astrology! Maybe work with your moon sign on filling yourself with confidence! Or, if you're not confident in your appearance, work with your rising sign! For more information, I would listen to the Two Geminis and A Leo podcast, now known as Mystical Misfits. Theresa Mariesa and Rachel Mitton are the hosts, and the earlier episodes also include Tabitha. Theresa Mariesa is also on Instagram, and Rachel is one of the founders of Anahata's Purpose, a spiritual retreat in Maryland! Feel free to check out these wonderful women and their projects on their socials.
Die 3 tells us to use the tarot as a tool for the confidence spell. Maybe do the spell with the Strength card, the Sun card (for confidence to fully be yourself and shine), the Magician (for confidence in your capabilities), or the Chariot (for confidence moving forward)! Really, pick whatever cards you think would work best!
Die 4 tips us off to work with a deity! Remember that you are not required to work with a deity, or any spirits. You can customize this spell however you like, and that includes whether or not you work with spirits or higher powers. Now, aside from that, Aphrodite or Venus would be great for self-confidence; Ares for strength and courage; Elpis is the goddess of hope; Freya, as she is revered as a strong, powerful goddess in Norse Mythos; and if you think of any more, feel free to name-drop them in the comments!
Now, go ahead and do the spell if you feel called to do so! Let me know how it went either in the comments or an ask! Goodnight, my witchlings~

Stinky tumblr went ahead and ate the second week's Weekly Spellwork Dice spell, so I'm going to post it again, and hopefully it will work this time

Love spell!
Die 1 decided the intention for the weekly spell should be love.
Die 2 told us to use divination! Maybe divine who your soulmate is or ask your tarot deck why it finds you awesome!
Die 3 tells us to use the crystals as a tool to make the love spell work. Maybe use a grid with crystals that carry the intention of the spell, or even wear one as an amplifier for your intention!
Die 4 tips us off to use the days of the week! Friday is ruled by Venus, the planet associated with love in astrology and the Roman goddess of love! Also, look into the other days of the week. Maybe you want to be more in-tune with yourself or start loving yourself a little more; Monday's, ruled by the Moon, are great for that!
Now, go ahead and do the spell if you feel called to do so! Let me know how it went either in the comments or an ask! Goodnight, my witchlings~

Happy Litha, everyone!
Remember! You do not have to celebrate on the Solstice! You celebrate when you can, however that looks for you!
For me, I’m setting out water to make some Summer Water, and making Honey Cake with caramel sauce later because it just fits my schedule better.
Covens will often make sure most of the coven can attend, and sometimes, that’s two weeks after the actual sabbat!
So don’t feel bad if you don’t do anything today! You are doing great, witches and witchlings~
Happy Litha to you all and Blessed Be🔮✨☀️

Healing spell!
Die 1 decided the intention for the weekly spell should be healing.
Die 2 told us to use bath magic! Maybe the intention is healing, but the method of healing is self care.
Die 3 tells us to use the moon phases as a tool to make the healing spell work. Maybe a waning moon to release old ties or a waxing moon to gain new healing. Maybe a full moon for extra boost to your spell.
Die 4 tips us off to use the four elements! Earth for grounding or stability; Air for letting go or communication; Water for intuition or emotion; and Fire for confidence or adventure. These are all just examples of what these elements could mean in your spell.
Now, go ahead and do the spell if you feel called to do so! Let me know how it went either in the comments or an ask! Goodnight, my witchlings~

✨Open and Closed Practices✨
So, getting started was hard for me, because it felt like everywhere I looked, there was a closed practice. Which is kind of my own fault. I stepped into witchcraft, immediately starting with white sage and Palo Santo. Since then, I have rectified my ways, and made sure to preach from the rooftops to not use such items.
Which leads me into the topic of the day, Open and Closed practices. Now, this part will focus on Closed practices, so you know what to avoid. The next part (which I will link once I get it on the blog) will be about Open practices that you can practice.
Now onto the topic!
✨Closed Practices✨
Typically, Closed practices are ones you have to ethnically be a part of, initiated, born into to have the knowledge of the practice. However, the benefit of being a part of a closed practice is being able to have a community and friends that walk the same path as you.
Examples of Closed practices are Native American practices, African Diaspora practices, Hoodoo & Voodoo, certain Hindu practices, certain Buddhism practices, certain Judaism practices, certain Shamanic practices, and certain Wiccan traditions. Now, this is not an extensive list, just a list of where to start. Make sure you do your research into making sure you are not appropriating a practice that does not belong to you, your lineage, or your ethnicity.
Now, the reasoning for Closed practices are often to keep the practice alive, actually. An example of this is African spiritualism, Hoodoo, Voodoo (technically a religion, but still closed so it kinda works for this), and African Diaspora. To actually practice these Closed practices, you need to be African or of African descent because they were heavily suppressed during the Transatlantic Slave Trade and even almost had it wiped out due to said tragedy as well.
Now, I can hear the masses now: 'Hoodoo isn't a Closed practice! It's a folk practice! Anyone can be a part of it!' Now, personally, I consider it a closed practice for me. I am a white woman who most definitely benefits from the system, and lives in the Pacific Northwest. I am nowhere geographically near, or ethnically near Hoodoo or Voodoo. These are practices that slaves developed to keep themselves connected to ancestors and their religion, as well as practice medicine on each other. Most consider this a 'guarded' practice. I consider it Closed. My advice is to leave it be if it is not for you.
This post is not meant to discourage learning these practices. Learn what the people of these practices teach, what they allow to be shared, and take it with the understanding that it is not for you. That doesn't mean that it can't be for you, but it does mean that it isn't for you if you are not a part of their group that is allowed to practice their teachings.
Also, if I am wrong, whether about a piece of this or the entirety, please let me know! I always want to learn more and understand better, so feel free to hit me up in the asks!
✨Blessed Be, witchlings~✨

Came across a video on my feed, and it piqued my interest.
It asked 'If there were three items that a person needed to summon you, what would it be?'
And my immediate answer was coffee, books, and my husband. But I had a little deep dive and I realized something.
None of these last forever. My favorite book will eventually be so old that the pages fall out and the ink has flaked off. My favorite coffee bean will be retired, probably still during my lifetime. My husband is gonna die, most definitely. So I needed to rethink this.
Coffee. Coffee is still delicious, no matter what bean it is from. Just add a little milk and sugar, and it is right as rain.
A piece of written, human work. A poem, a painting, a book, anything. Cause my love for art is not restrained to one medium, but comes from my love for humanity and the hope that it becomes better.
Something that represents a story to the person summoning me. A wild idea, whatever, but I think it's important. Part of witchcraft is the human part, the witch part. Otherwise, it's just a craft. And each path is different for everyone. It makes me excited to hear a story from my grandmother that i have never heard before, or to listen to my little sister tell me her day at school.
But what are your three things that someone would need to summon you with? Either reply in the comments, or reblog this and type it in! I would love to hear from anyone and everyone.
Blessed Be, witchlings~
✨Reconnecting with a Witchy Practice✨
So, this is from a tiktok by Suzee Ann or @terminallyhomosexual on TT (sorry person I accidentally at-ed)
I also have this because I am currently coming out of a LONG period of not connecting with my craft at all, so this is also for me as much as it is for other witchlings~
Make sure to give yourself grace. Give yourself a hug, and remind yourself that this is normal. Vibes fluctuate and seasons change. You are not a bad practitioner for not feeling it right now.
Now, once you have gone through that, there are a bunch of things you can do to get back into it!
Rearrange your space. Just make some changes to your space. You are supposed to change your bedroom every six months to prevent depression and keep your brain excited and liking to be in the space. Rearranging your altar or practice space makes your brain excited and makes you want to be there more often, even if your not practicing in that moment.
Do a little research! Suzee said she likes to go back to basics, and I find that a good refresher, but I personally like to find something new that my brain will like to learn! I also employ the Pomodoro 50/10 method to keep myself focused and keeping my brain active!
Do some arts and crafts! Suzee has made a thryssus for Dionysus, which looks so good. If you go find the video, you'll be able to get a glimpse of it. Personally, I am looking into doing a sort of song cord type thing for my witch learning journey! I like the Avatar movies and have always loved how Songcords represent their lives, from birth to big moments and death, so I'm going to be making one myself!
If you really want to do some spellwork, try out some new spell ingredients! Now, be aware of what you are using. Some ingredients belong to closed practices, but just do your research! No one is going to get ya cause you looked up how to use white sage or certain spell ingredients.
Indulge in witchy media! Ohhhh, how I love this one! I frequently indulge in some Practical Magic (and I will be watching the upcoming second movie) just to get back to what inspired me to get into witchcraft! Suzee shows the movie The Craft and the Netflix show Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Go outside! Hang out with a tree that you like. Maybe sit next to a river. Or, if you're like me, just stand in the sun and feel its warmth. Maybe let the wind disrupt your energy and give you a good cleansing. Let nature do as nature does.
Now, remember, your path does not have to be linear. It is completely okay to take breaks. I will probably take more breaks and keep coming back. The important part is that you don't give up.
Blessed Be, witchlings~
✨Cleansing Herbs✨
So, this is specifically from a tiktok by Andrea or @moonstreetkits on TT.
This is a list of herbs she recommended that are not endangered, cleanse away every spirit (not every spirit is a bad spirit), and actually cleanses!
Saint John's Wort
Peppermint
Jasmine
Angelica or Angelica Root
Hyssop pronounced (hiss-up)
Holy Basil or Tulsi
Bay or Bay Leaves
Birch Bark
Dandelion or Dandelion Root
Thistle
And if you don't have these in a bundle, here's how to do it:
Grab you a fire-safe, heat-safe, whatever-safe bowl. Personally, I recommend a cast iron tiny cauldron.
Now, put a bit of charcoal in there. Most people have charcoal discs, and unless you want to sit there for 4 hours, waiting for it to burn out safely, maybe just cut a piece off.
Now light that charcoal on fire IN THE FIRE-SAFE, HEAT-SAFE, ETC.-SAFE CAULDRON.
Now, sprinkle on your herb/herbs, and watch it smoke.
That's it. That's the list! I haven't done ANY research on these, cause I'm just putting information on the page for me to reference back to, so don't take this at face value!
Remember to not use white sage, cause that's appropriation of Native American culture and it is endangered, and not to use Palo Santo, cause it is endangered!
Blessed Be, witchlings!~
The Northeast is haunted cause you should have turned back
The South is haunted cause blood spilled needs blood paid
The Midwest is haunted cause silence begets madness
The Southwest is haunted cause collected bones rattle together
The Northwest is haunted cause every green living thing is eavesdropping on you

Witchy Gift Ideas
This is just a small list, so dependent upon your friends or family members likes and dislikes, use this as a reference! It's not a comprehensive list, but it's a good jumping off or starting point.
The Encyclopedia of Spirits, edited by Judika Illes This is a massive book with a wide range of reference points to start research on different spirits. Judika Illes is a pretty renowned editor/author in the community, so this book is a safe bet. I have the book myself and I love it. Especially useful for when a witch thinks someone may be contacting them.
The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft, edited by Judika Illes This is a big book, but with a wide range of references for witchcraft, including animals, herbs, as well as a whole chapter on different deities. I do not personally have this book, but it is one I have been wanting to get. Again, Judika Illes, so I would trust it, but, of course, do your research to make sure that the author/editor is not problematic.
Crystal Advent Calendar Who doesn't love an advent calendar? Its the gift that keeps on giving. And this is for the witches who love to work with crystals. It is a 24 count advent calendar, so be sure to have this ready in November, so you can give it to them on December 1st. Also, you can make this a joint gift with a book on crystals, like an encyclopedia of crystals or a crystal reference book. I do not personally work with crystals too much, but I would love to get this as a gift.
The Zodiac Seed Bank Kit This is an intentional, almost targeted, gift, specifically for the witch in your life. It comes in 4 different banks: Fire Signs, Earth Signs, Air Signs, and Water Signs; each with their own seeds. This is also great for the witch in your life who is trying to ground or get grounded. It also has a tracker for when to plant, along with the moon. It comes with a small, cute instructions book as well.
Manifest Your Dreams Kit This is quite literally a spell kit for manifestation. It's also a great kit for anyone looking to get into wax sealing or just like how wax sealing looks. Personally, I am actually looking into getting this kit cause it looks super cool and I would love to have it.
The Book of Practical Witchcraft, edited by Pamela Ball This looks like a giant reference and spell book, quite frankly. It looks quite useful though, and may even be a great reference guide for anyone needing one. This is a sort of snapshot of everything though, and not a book focused on a specific topic. So, if the witch in your life is like, "Oh, I like the movie Practical Magic!", this is not that book. For something like actual practical, use-what-you-have magic, I would look into a folk magic book for the witch in your life.
Llewellyn's Witches Calendar This is honestly so cute and so quick to pick up. I have found a couple of these at my local Barnes & Noble, so I would also check Amazon to see if they have some. This calendar has a spell to do every month, and shows the moon phases, the Sabbaths, has astrological insights. Honestly, I want one, so I'm putting this on my list this year. I would so get this for the witch in your life, especially if they forget the full moon or the Sabbaths!
Witchy Cauldron Tarot Learning Journal Now this looks super cool. It has tarot spreads, and has the owner of the journal track their readings, helping their intuition to grow and for them to recognize cards easier. As a pairing for this, to make it a double gift, I would also get the Tarotorial deck, but I'll put that as a different gift, because it deserves a section all to itself. It also has stickers, and who doesn't love stickers? I am also getting this for myself if someone doesn't buy it for me this year.
Tarotorial Deck Okay, this is cool. A little bit of backstory: the witch who made this deck suffered from a stroke that made half their body temporarily paralyzed. So, as they underwent physical therapy appointments, they also relearned how to draw and type, learning how to reuse their hands. They made the deck for their daughter, who was having a hard time learning tarot but really wanted to learn. This is great for the witch in your life who wants to learn tarot, or has a hard time remembering the meanings behind the cards, because the meanings are printed on them. I would pair this with the above Witchy Cauldron Tarot Learning Journal, just because it seems like a great kit to get started learning tarot with. I am so getting this for myself the moment I can.
Art of the Root's Money Manifestation Kit This is kind of just a deconstructed spell made into a kit, but honestly, I would love to receive this. I don't find myself having a lot of time to do spell work, so to have one prepped and ready for me to use when I feel like it is a relief.
Sacred Tears: A Witch's Guide to Grief by Courtney Webber This is great for any witch going through grief. I know that not everyone is the happiest during this time of year, and you could just be grieving, especially since the end of the year calls us to bid goodbye to the old one. To mourn our old selves and remember those we lost along the way. This seems like a great book to have on the shelf for when the time calls for it.
A Deity Kit So, I saw a Hekate kit, and quite frankly, I think it's great. Especially if the witch in your life is looking to work with a spirit or deity, giving them a kit could set them up for success.
The Pivot Year by Brianna Weist So, I am honestly thinking about getting this because of what it is. It's a book on really getting your witchy friend who is dipping their toe in or just doesn't know where to go from where they are, this is helpful. It gives them a daily practice and lets them divulge in their spiritual/witchy side.
A Witchcraft Supply Kit This is really nice, especially if your witchy friend is running low on supplies. They usually come with a little of everything: herbs, tiny crystals, candles, things for their altar, etc. It's also great for the new witch in your life who maybe doesn't have a lot of stuff, but is a maximalist.
Jewelry This needs no introduction. I would just try to find the right jewelry for the witch in your life. Like, if they are open and out, I would maybe get them a pair of pentacle earrings in the metal they wear. Also, personally making them jewelry or getting them supplies to make their own jewelry is great. Part of witchcraft is the energy in making things, not just instilling objects with energy.
Alright, well, send in any asks with other ideas you have, and I can make more parts of witchy gifts!
Blessed Be, witchlings~
