✨Reconnecting with a Witchy Practice✨
So, this is from a tiktok by Suzee Ann or @terminallyhomosexual on TT (sorry person I accidentally at-ed)
I also have this because I am currently coming out of a LONG period of not connecting with my craft at all, so this is also for me as much as it is for other witchlings~
Make sure to give yourself grace. Give yourself a hug, and remind yourself that this is normal. Vibes fluctuate and seasons change. You are not a bad practitioner for not feeling it right now.
Now, once you have gone through that, there are a bunch of things you can do to get back into it!
Rearrange your space. Just make some changes to your space. You are supposed to change your bedroom every six months to prevent depression and keep your brain excited and liking to be in the space. Rearranging your altar or practice space makes your brain excited and makes you want to be there more often, even if your not practicing in that moment.
Do a little research! Suzee said she likes to go back to basics, and I find that a good refresher, but I personally like to find something new that my brain will like to learn! I also employ the Pomodoro 50/10 method to keep myself focused and keeping my brain active!
Do some arts and crafts! Suzee has made a thryssus for Dionysus, which looks so good. If you go find the video, you'll be able to get a glimpse of it. Personally, I am looking into doing a sort of song cord type thing for my witch learning journey! I like the Avatar movies and have always loved how Songcords represent their lives, from birth to big moments and death, so I'm going to be making one myself!
If you really want to do some spellwork, try out some new spell ingredients! Now, be aware of what you are using. Some ingredients belong to closed practices, but just do your research! No one is going to get ya cause you looked up how to use white sage or certain spell ingredients.
Indulge in witchy media! Ohhhh, how I love this one! I frequently indulge in some Practical Magic (and I will be watching the upcoming second movie) just to get back to what inspired me to get into witchcraft! Suzee shows the movie The Craft and the Netflix show Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Go outside! Hang out with a tree that you like. Maybe sit next to a river. Or, if you're like me, just stand in the sun and feel its warmth. Maybe let the wind disrupt your energy and give you a good cleansing. Let nature do as nature does.
Now, remember, your path does not have to be linear. It is completely okay to take breaks. I will probably take more breaks and keep coming back. The important part is that you don't give up.
