AU sourced, king orange is not a parental or familial figure to me.

as such my posts describe my relationship to him. not any direct connection to canon. do not accuse me of shipping, supporting or perpetrating incest because thats very narrow-sighted and untrue. i will not be hiding myself just because some people on the internet think my partner is my dad and will be upset at me for it. thats all the comments ill be making on it.

its so so upsetting to have formed from headcanons and ideas we had before we watched episode 29/30.

because we genuinely shipped king and purple before finding out they practically adopt eachother later on in the series. and while we collectively no longer ship them in relation to canon, my memories still reflect those times we did.

and Im so, so frustrated I cant talk about it. anyone else can talk about their romantic pairings or source partners. especially with grapeduo Im so, so frustrated and envious any time I see grapeduo art I cant even begin to describe it.

i tried changing I tried fixing my memories or focusing on anything else but they just make me feel worse like I HAVE to hide or change this part of me thats been innate since I formed. I tried going dormant and it made the entire system collectively suicidal. its impossible to ignore it entirely when Mango is collectively our favorite character

when i CAN talk about my memories its always, vaguely, "non-familial"; platonic, domestic, business partners, more than anything I want to be able to call him my romantic/sexual partner publicly without fearing backlash from people assuming Im an incestuous proshipper freak just because I see him not as a parental figure but as an equal, consensual, romantic partner

unhealthy escapism unlabeled dom-sub arrangement thats not *necessarily* sexual since the original series is a kids series but theyre both adults with heavy interest in eachother

its not that i hate the idea of familial kingpurp its that post ep30 fandom acts like its always been this way as if mango and purple couldnt be anything but adoptive father and child since the start. keeping in mind it was one of the most popular ships before that episode released sometimes I wonder if we watched the same show

as if a mentally unstable purple character who lost everything , got humiliated and is still vengeful to a degree wouldnt kneel down for a taller man who pets their head and says he will help them get revenge

right! like, to an extent I understand, the characters are fictional and therefore lack autonomy but the attachment and possessiveness you feel for them is real.
