It was Athelnar that prompted me to write my first ever fanfic, just because I couldn't bear them being separated like that. A year and a half has passed, and I've written close to 300k words since then, all thanks to these guys who inspired me back then. Also fix-it has been my favorite genre ever since 😅

There's one thing I'll never get: why did Emhyr arrange the grand reception with all the nobles in Loc Grim - and also broke up with Dervla, his long-term mistress - without meeting the assumed Princess Cirilla even once? He did all of that based on the rumor that someone (not even Rience or Cahir, whom he sent after Ciri) brought a random girl into a random fortress. Yes, yes, I understand, there would be no plot without it, but still, what could've possessed him that day?

Just heard a story today: a trans guy (a friend of a friend) has recently had his gender changed in his id docs. It took him 9 months (!), a designated lawyer specializing on LGBT rights, multiple complaints and requests to all possible authorities, and you can easily guess the amount of humiliation from the clerks. Trans people literally have to fight to have their identity established in their docs, which is the most basic of all basic rights. I have no idea how anyone could take the stance "just don't shove it in my face", like come on, you really think it's about who has sex with whom and how??
On a happier note, the said guy shared a bit of how his life has changed once he transitioned. He says that people at his new job (who think he was born a man) are now taking him seriously 😄 like, when he says "we do it this way", everyone just nod along and don't argue. He also says, in his words, "I can now feel that this world is mine, that it's been made for me". My friend said she had to shed a couple of tears at that 😂
My ignorance and lack of perception are sometimes astonishing even to myself. I never knew that Boreas's iconic quote is actually from a classic film, and I never noticed it written on the fucking wall in the mall I go to on a daily basis. Guess I should really watch a movie or two 😔 (as soon as I finish all my 758 Witcher fanfics and my 19th run of Sniper Elite)

I usually outline at least the first half, but rarely in writing, more often it's just in my head

Random, of course; but if it's multichapter or a series, I try to stick to the daily schedule.

Usually the other books I've read. There are lots of references to classics and other books in my writing, sometimes other fics too (I always credit them as inspiration when I can)

Sure, lots of research on medieval way of life. I'm unbelievably lucky to have a friend who knows pretty much everything about the Middle Age in Europe!
😎 What fics do you prefer on a scale of canon compliant to wildly original?
My favorite genre is "what if", like, canon compliant, but an alternative version.

I suppose that an individual can only be explored in their relationships with others? 🤔

Extremely difficult, if we're talking prolonged, graphic sex! I'm now taking a break from those, so my current fics are non-graphic or non-explicit altogether 😅
💘 Is it easier to write angst or fluff?
Hm, an interesting question. I've written both, but fluff is probably a bit easier because it doesn't carry that much emotional toll. However, when writing fluff, you have to make sure it's not too sugary, which is a fine line.
🚦What sort of endings do you prefer to write: ambiguous, bad, happily ever after, etc.?
'Everybody lives' is certainly my favorite 😅 Bittersweet are the best, I suppose.
💡How many WIPs do you currently have?
I'm actively working on just 1, but I have a couple of other ideas I'm going to explore very soon.
🔎 Does anyone beta read or edit your fics?
No 😢😢😢 I'm afraid a beta wouldn't be able to catch up with my writing speed though. It would be inhumane to make someone read and edit on such a regular basis, so I just do it myself.
📚 Is there a fanfic or fanfic writer you recommend?
Lots of them, but if I really have to pick my favorite of all times, it's probably going to be the series '100 ways to fuck around the continent' by sassaffrassa. It's hilarious, sad, hot, deep, and ingenious, all at the same time!
🤩 What led to your interest in the fandom?
The Witcher books, and especially Cahir, my sweet boy 🥰

I'm very lucky to have irl friends who are fic writers too, I got a lot of support from them when I just started 🥰

It's not really important for your text to be perfect, what really matters is for it to be genuine, to carry something of your own. Especially now, in the era of AI

Short ones, 1-5k is my favorite form.

Yes! Three major Cahir fics this year, and only one of them is finished yet!

Read other's works, nothing new. Really a good respite.

Like, write a canon and have fanfiction written after it? That's probably every writer's wildest dream!

Platonic intimacy! Platonic cuddling, kissing, sex, you name it. I'm the biggest fan and proponent of platonic physical closeness, both in fiction and in life 🥰

I'm incredibly blessed to have had multiple fanarts made for my works by the most talented artist in this universe @krnberg, so there's nothing left really ❤️

The more I read about the banality of evil, the more I come to the conclusion that there's no evil in it. Not only there's no sadism or cruelty, but also not even malice or hatred. Just the bureaucracy, and the absurdity of it all.
Just had a thought after writing that recent vampire piece: is the 'found family' trope even applicable to Regis and Dettlaff? They're sort of brothers already, being from the same tribe, right? Or are they not? 🤔
