Disclaimer: I will try not to “advertise” for profiles that I do not know personally through this account. This post is serving as both an announcement to others and a reminder to myself.
I understand that many are trying to spread the word about their small businesses, etc. and I wish all the best to those who have good intentions, but if I do not personally trust and know the account and have faith in what they are marketing, then for security and trust reasons I will not be reblogging their posts that advertise these things.
The intention of this is to avoid spreading information that I have not personally fact-checked, or to advertise a purchase-able good or service falsely because I have not verified its source.
I still plan to reblog individual posts (such as art pieces, inspirational quotes, language learning tips, etc.) that I find helpful or cool, and if the artist/etc. is listed within the post and they get some publicity through there, then that’s great, but the posts that serve primarily as marketing for a product that they endorse/a service they offer, I intend to not attach to my own account by reblogging them.
