It was a semi-open world game, where you'd play as Pac and the hub world was pretty much a simplified version of Pacopolis. You could go to the Round House, the Maze, etc. There was a day/night cycle too, and the main hub world looked absolutely stunning at night, I swear.

The other aspect of it was that, sometimes, ghosts would attack the hub world too. It wasn't apart of any specific mission requirement, you just could eat ghosts in the hub world, probably for hit points. And use power berries too, that was the other thing! I remember using one specifically for flying to catch one stray ghost at night.

The only problem was that the ghost-eating mechanic was so broken that it acted similarly to PMATGA 1 on 3ds. It controlled like garbage LMA-

Just to better clarify, PMATGA 1 on 3ds in particular is essentially an entirely different game with different mechanics, unlike PMATGA 2 for 3ds which is just a port of the other consoles. You don't get the double jump anymore for example. But the chomp ability was still present. Only thing was that you could chomp multiple times in mid-air if a ghost entered Pac's detection range in order to chomp. For some reason, though, they made the chomp range itself a little shorter than Pac's detection range. So sometimes you can start flying up to the target in bosses without doing what you were supposed to. It's a weird oversight that I've highlighted below. It's not size accurate, but it's just to highlight what I'm talking about.

C = Chomping Range, the general reach of which Pac-Man can reach a ghost in one button press.

D = Detection Range, the general reach where Pac-Man can specifically target any ghost and lock onto it.

Any ghost or enemy that fall outside the range won't be locked onto in a chomp. However, ghosts that alternate between being in C & D (usually by floating out of C fast enough but not escaping D) can cause a repeated loop unless the ghost is caught or it escapes D.

That weird oversight made it into the pmatga 3 game I dreamt about, and I swear it was so funny looking at pac eternally chomping at a ghost to not fall into the death barrier just below. I'm being so serious. Eternal flight glitch.
