sooooo Bubble was the blue ai, right? like... genuinely? Or at least some part of it?

I thought it was only a fun theory, that i half-heartedly believed too tbh, people were very convincing. And the idea was very entertaining.

Anyway, i really liked the movie lmao

I'm gonna be honest, i was hopeful but I still went to the theater with low expectations....those nerds from twitter really made me doubt the ending, but i liked it a lot!

SURE it has its issues but it's NOWHERE as bad as people claimed it to be

The one thing that kinda soured the movie for me, surprisingly, was Caine's return lmao. Not because i hate the guy (love him!) but...idk i feel kinda empty and disappointed? I guess it ties with my problem with the blue Ai

Like, I know i didn't have high expectations and I know the show it's mostly about the characters and not the lore...but I DID assume we were gonna get the full answers to the whole C&A thing, especially after ep 8. I hadn't realized how much lore about the AIs i wanted until now hahaha

Talking about AIs...i thought Caine's return would be more...difficult, my bad. Likewise, I didn't like how easily they forgot about what he did, sure we can't spend another 30 mins watching Caine winning them over so it's alright i guess, and to be fair the movie never stated how long it took for them to forgive him, right? Maybe it took them weeks, months or years...

I also feel weird about Caine letting the blue AI go just like that...I don't know, I'll go to sleep and put my thoughts in order

I always liked Bubble's voice (and Caine's) so maybe my problem is that i wanted to hear him more hahaha Gooseworx does have a really nice voice afterall (hoping the boss never sees this)

Lol i never thought i was gonna be critical of Caine and miss Bubble but here i am, iirc wasn't Caine holding a little bubble-like thing at the end credits? I'll take what i can!

though I didn’t rlly have any expectations of learning any more about CnA or like the exact mechanics of how they got it all running on like Windows95. That was just one of those things one had to suspend their disbelief for.

Caine’s return and his process of figuring out that his selfish desire was the problem felt so jarringly sober and maybe just a bit too fast too. Maybe it works on a practical level because he literally got (almost) deleted and most folks would switch up fast if that happened to them, but I really liked Caine’s struggle to understand humans and how they work, and there wasn’t any if this to be found in the finale.

I also was hoping for hopium regarding Jax and his gender issues. My fav headcanon is of course the closeted transfem Jax, and I wanted so badly for Jax to have gotten a certain sort of happy ending that would see him start to embrace his identity, but also Goose has the right to make something sadder for her favorite character and i stand by not having to make every story a hopeful happy ending one, even when I think a hopeful message would fit the current day. Hell, not everyone who might be struggling with similar things to Jax would especially resonate with /be comforted by my idea of a happy ending for Jax 🤷
