If this post gets 100 notes I’ll recreate the entire song through memes

I used my study break to make this
Im procrastinating doing assignments to read thisÂ
Hello!
I have moved everything that used to be on this blog over to a new side blog! @ag-at-uni so if your interesting in Agriculture, or studying Ag at University in New Zealand, head over there fore a snapshot into what Ag students get up to! :DÂ
Otherwise, Hi!
Welcome to my blog!
A random collection of fandom things and shit-posts that I write from things that I unfortunately (or fortunately XD) hear when going about my life! :)Â
Hope you have a good day and enjoy your stay!!
A prodigy
You missed the best part. They weren’t even their sheep. This good pupper gathered up a bunch of random sheep it found somewhere on the countryside and brought them home for its human.
XD what a good boy!

Stuck...
Got an update from the home farm and...
wow... two cows with stuck heads in one milking...
First one is trying (& failing) to steal meal
Second one... just...? Â why...?
Just one more assignment...
... I wish...
Whew!!
Two assignments finished today
A group seminar on Animal Welfare in the Dairy Industry
and a Lab Report for the Glasshouse Trial testing the yield response of perennial ryegrass to nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer applications on two different soil types
No time to rest though! Bring on the 30% Soil’s test in 2 days!!
Also... I think that assignment submission was a little to close for comfort!! Omg!
Opps!
There seems to be a theme of “Opps” emerging on this blog XD
Photo sent to me from back at Kirihau farm a while go. The goats are in the garden!!!
The goat on the left is “Stripes”, a wild goat that came out of a forestry block and into our dairy cow heard last year, after the neighbors harvested their Radiata Pine trees. She hangs out with the cows, comes into the milking shed & stands in the corner, then heads back to the paddock with them at the end of milking! Funny little thing.
The goat on the right is “Miss Billy”, my brothers goat. She was also a wild goat that my brother raised. She dogged 3 bullets when he, my dad and friends were out hunting (controlling the goat population in the National Parks). They decided she was a pretty lucky goat, caught her, and since then we’ve had a goat! :D She even goes for walks on a lead!
Here they both are (after Miss Billy escaped) eating mums garden on the back lawn!!! Opps!
Duck!
Whew...!
Haven’t posted for a while, man i’ve been busy with assignments! Just submitted a Feed Budget, only to have a Fertilizer ID report and Glasshouse Trial report due! Haven’t even started my report for the Nitrogen trial yet!
Went for a walk to the duck pond on campus for a break, so cute seeing the ducklings! :D
Here’s hoping everything’s going alright on everyone’s farms! In little old’ NZ were in the thick of calving! Dads had an issues with a couple cows going down, and is getting them blood tested to see whats wrong (may be milk fever from Ca or Mg deficiency, but there are more down than last year), we’ll see!
Have a good spring every one! (If your in the southern hemisphere! XD)
Early start
Ah.... the life of a dairy farmer.... if only for the summer between uni XD
Taken at who-knows-what time in the morning (like 5? 5:30ish?) last summer when helping my dad relief-milk up the road! I’m out in the paddock getting the cows in for morning milking! (as you can clearly see XD)
I was originally going to send this to a friend when I took it as proof of how early i was getting up, but i couldn’t get any wifi! XD (too early & rural!)

Fascinating! Isn’t it?!
A cyst-looking growth spotted on the leg of a Friesian dairy cow on a farm up the road that I was relief milking on last summer!
Was noted down and quickly treated by the owners when they returned to the farm the next day!
Cysts like this can be caused by small wounds getting infected and small ones like these thankfully don’t cause the cow too much discomfort (its a bit like a large pimple!).
If your really up to it, there are plenty of gross videos of people draining huge cattle cysts on youtube!!
