not related but also just good advice: when you’re lowkey frustrated with someone and can’t quite figure out why their behavior is bothering you, i highly recommend examining if they have broken an imaginary rule or standard that you hold yourself to

Reaching out to someone, helping a stranger on their way, holding a door for someone, buying something because you know your friend will like it, giving compliments, sending sweet asks/messages/texts to someone and the like, it all makes a positive difference. You don't have to force yourself to bounce back so quickly. I read something recently that said "when you come in from a rainstorm, you don't expect yourself to be dry and warm right away", and it really resonated with me. It's okay to take time to dry off and warm up. Take the time you need to process what happened to you.
