forgive me if its a little hard to comprehend that one moment we saw each other every single day and the next you were helping me into my graduation cloak and the next we were texting. and now we aren't. maybe that's just this moment though. maybe i can reply and it'll be like it was instead of what it is. did you help anybody else into their robe or was that just me? it wasn't even hard and i'd showed up a bit late so maybe you were just feeling in a rush or maybe you thought i'd struggle and everyone else was done so you helped but it was really nice and i felt really taken care of. you made me feel really taken care of a lot of the time. and now i'm one of those little dogs in cardboard boxes that are frayed and ripped with brown tape clinging wetly in the rain. i'm the thinnest layer of the cardboard, not the strong, hard, curly line that cracks when you halve it, the thin ones. watery. i was at the mall with my family and i didn't get anything and i couldn't finish my mcflurry and i wanted to fall in love with one of the people walking around but they were all kids. i miss you and i don't feel like missing you. in the span of a month i've become one of those people who have a show and now i'm already done watching it, but i didn't get to tell you anything while i was feeling it and now it's over and your texts are piling up but they're so superficial and i just know everyone at university is funnier and better than me. why do we have to grow up and apart? what if you'd come with me, would you have hated all my new friends? would you have thought i wasn't good at growing? are you good at growing or at growing apart?
