WE'RE FUCKING ARTISTS, WE'RE SENSITIVE AS SHIT

I'm still doing sketches during work, but my painting skills are getting pretty rusty. Career-wise I'm also in a bit of a rut. Last New Year's Eve, I wanted to do more professional art — but it turns out I never have the time or energy for it once I go back to my full-time job! It's frustrating, and I guess the only solution is to either Lock In For Real or reduce my work hours (I never have time for art like I did in university, which feels crazy in hindsight. How the fuck was I able to make a piece each month??) For 2026 I'm going to lower the bar for myself and just try to paint something each weekend. Doesn't have to be good, just has to be finished. As for my other New Years Resolutions: I've gotta be more present in the world. Gotta get better at processing my emotions in a not-insane way. Have to shower everyday, eat three meals, drink water, and floss. Have to shut up about other people's problems unless I really really hate them. And I should ask for more advice instead of brooding. Okay, okay. Happy birthday to me, and happy New Year's Eve to the world! Excited to see what 2026 brings.
