As the resident Kanadog truther (I don't think I can take credit for coming up with the idea, but I take a small fraction of the responsibility for yapping enough about it to help popularize it) I just have to add on to the post about Kanade trying to keep one of Mafuyu's shirts because it smells like her: consider Kanade having a good sense of smell, but particularly having strong associations with scents. Had an idea for a song while she was walking back from the hospital and she smelled someone's coffee as they walked past her, now she can't work on the song without smelling coffee, even if she's not going to drink it.
The distress when she realized she can't find any of her mom's old clothes that still smell like her anymore.
Coming to know Mafuyu's scent and finding herself missing it when Mafuyu isn't around. 'Accidentally' getting their pillows swapped once and sleeping better than she ever has before because she can just bury herself in that smell.
Kanade you lil weirdo I love you, go sniff things girl.

I received many messages asking me about my thoughts on the finale. Well… I wish I could have liked it. But even if I’m trying to make sense of it, the plot holes through the whole movie, and the retcon of all the important themes from season 1 and 2 are not helping me finding a good reason to understand how it ended…
From now on I will live in the blessed ignorance of s3 and s2 I guess (minus the flashbacks from s2 haha) so I’m deeply relying on the book, the radio drama, and Ao3 for coping. And by re-listening to the audio drama, it really stroke me how you don’t have to make everyone suffer to be clever. You can do silly, whimsy, and clever, and that’s what I like about Good Omens. Fight for the world. As flawed as it is, there will always be things and people worth fighting for.
Also, I really would have liked for them to finally get to go on that picnic someday.
