"i only want you to be mine and not a lesson learned" donut being afraid of losing carl after reckless plans and his attempts to sacrifice himself. her watching his rage grow more and more and it being harder for her to pull him back from the edge when he loses himself. her not wanting to learn what she'll do if she ever loses him.

"i will wait and wait and wait until this city burns" the plan to make the galaxy pay is carl's plan, not donut's. it's carl's rage, not donut's. but she'll join him every step of the way because he's her person and she understands his rage and pain. but ultimately she doesn't want vengeance, she wants to survive and live.

"i will wait and wait and wait and live on what we were" donut thinking about and remembering who carl was before the apocalypse and remembering the peace and comfort of sitting on his lap as he played call of duty
