The forsaken - Abandoned by his gods, Gillion is reduced to a shell of who he was. He dwells near the entrance of the Hole in a pit of ichor alongside his beloved companion, pretzel. Who has… grown… since they’ve first entered. Destiny’s Blade has fused to his arm, its divine magic faded from its past glory, yet still provides one of the only light sources in the hole in the sea. He gurgles some thing about “Protecting the others.”

Design thoughts: I wanted to incorporate Gillions Dread helm and sword into the design, with themes of knighthood. His sword arm also bears a moon near his shoulder, with various points of his design also sporting similar moon symbolism. Overall, his is the one I’m least proud of, and I might redo it later.

The Fallen - nearly beyond recognition, Jay has become a sentinel of sorts deep in the Hole in the Sea. She sits upon a perch, her mangled wings covering her body until something catches her attention. Then her strangely long neck cranes out of her makeshift blanket, the sun around her eye appears to have grown into twisted spikes around her head, and is constantly emitting a blinding light. As she gazes around the room, a spotlight of sort follows her vision.

Design thoughts: I wanted to go with a fallen angel design for Jay, and wanted to add a lot of sun imagery. I know her wings are technically fake, but I thought it’s be fun to have bird elements in her design. I also really like the colours I used, and I think this is my favourite design.

The Forgotten- Although he is the most humanoid of the three, he is strangely the least human. Broken crystals jut out of his head like a crown, and more shards lay strewn around his body. Twisted around a grotesque throne is rose vines, the thorns coming to wicked points and the roses blooming a dark shade of grey. In his hands is a blackened heart beating, the light in the room pulsates alongside the beating, making your head hurt.

Design thoughts: I wanted Chip to look similar to how he looks currently to give a sense of immortality or his remaining the same while everyone else’s changes. I also really like The Nameless Prince theory for Chip even though I don’t think it’ll be canon, so I incorporated a lot of Royal imagery with the crown and throne.

The idea for this as is that all of the albatrio went into the Black Sea alone and sent the others back to canella. Niklaus used his favour to make Gillion take the egg, it goes black like in the Black rose Oneshot, and they all get asked about their desires. They answer, and get separated to different parts in the hole in the sea. Where they remain trapped for ten years.

Now our dear Oliver misses his friends, but especially Chip, who had given him a coin before he left. He makes it his mission to return to the hole in the sea and save his family. Sound familiar?
