Cordella Maddox is the player’s first female friend in the game. As such, she plays the role of an older sister for the MC, but unlike the motherly and nurturing aesthetic of most older sister characters, Cordi is instead portrayed as the effortlessly cool rebel every young teenager wants to be. She is very tall, and her curly blonde hair is incredibly striking, making her stand among the general lack of unique hair textures in the cast and giving her a sense of wildness and freedom. Her outfit, which is the male uniform, has been customized to her liking, and when paired with a proper top hat (unlike some people) it makes a clear statement: she dresses however she wants without caring how other people look at her. However, underneath that “cool girl” persona, we can see that there is much more hiding beneath the surface. The first is, yet again, in her outfit. In every outfit, each piece is spotless, despite her being an athlete and almost certainly getting her uniforms dirty regularly. And, more importantly, the chaos is strangely symmetrical, something completely unheard of in Heartslabyul uniforms. The symmetry hints at something deeper, a sense of order and control that contrasts the rest of her design and characterization. While it contrasts her visually from the rest of her house, it also connects her to the “strictness” the house is based upon. Later on we would learn what this symmetry hints at, but for now, we are just left to wonder.
