Grumpy Cat being dead is making me realize that this is honestly a sign of how little bits of happiness are so important Gen Z.
We all grew up watching the Internet and meme culture grow. By watching memes and trends come and go. And now we are all depressed and frustrated and tired and stressed and exhausted. And the Internet, for all the phenomenal things it has done, has made us and the world around us more complicated.
So to lose, permanently lose, something that gave us genuine, stupid joy â something as dumb as a furry cat with pissed expression â makes me realize how much we value brief entertainment, just like little children.
This might all sound pretentious and dumb, but I canât shake this weird feeling.
A meme has actually died, and it means weâre growing up.
