Honestly, Iām not entirely sure! They donāt really know one another very well - Art and I are well into our first roleplay with them, but thus far, theyāre just acquaintances. I sāpose weāll just hafta see, hehe!
And on the topic of Kintsu + love, I figure I may as well share. Itās been a year since Nuri died in-game, so it stands to reason that it could be time for my guy to find someone new. But the thing isā¦ There will always be a part of his heart that belongs to Nuri. So whoever he might end up with would have to be a really special cat, in that they would have to accept that there is only so much he has left to give. Theyād have to know that they might only ever be second best, and still love him.

ANYWAY! Iāve always liked Mikah. When I first joined the group, I went through the Tribe Gallery and picked out my favourites based on design, and Iām like 95% sure Mikah was on that list. Then I got to know him as a character, through reading his RPs and seeing art and just - I really like Mikah <3 Heās such a warm-hearted guy, he deserves some happiness in his life! And can I just say that he would the CUTEST babies.

I don't think you understand the whole point of the rating meme, it's for rating characters not criticizing them. If people want to draw hair on their characters then fine don't just sit there and say that their hair is "too much" all bluntly or just automatically assume that someone doesn't rp a character anymore because you don't see it personally. And if you seriously got a problem with someone rp a character with a mental illness correctly then I don't think you're mature enough for a group.
((I actually started typing up a pretty lengthy response to this but then I re-read your message and I realizedā¦ I didnāt actually understand what I was saying, because I didnāt get what youāre trying to say. Iām mostly hung up on the last part of the message- I think what youāre trying to say is, if I have a problem RPing(?) a character with a mental illness, Iām not mature enough to be in the group/a group in general? Iāmā¦ not sure I follow that. Itās not even really that I have a āproblemā with it per say, it just makes me feel uncomfortable. And, to quote Syco, ābeing uncomfortable by things doesnāt make you immatureā being intolerant to other peoplesā discomforts is being immatureā. Which is about all I can say on the subject since Iām having trouble deciphering your wording there.
As for the rest, Iām afraid I misunderstood. I thought āgeneral opinions on the characterā meant that I should share my general opinions on the character. Actually, I thought the whole idea of the āratingā thing was for people to hear the opinions of others on said character. At this point, I think probably quite a few of the characters Iāve been sent were people just listing off their least favorite character to hear me ābashā them- which is sad, and kind of disheartening, since I was hoping people would actually be interested in hearing what I have to say. Iām not being intentionally mean or cruel, Iām just giving a 100% honest (if rather casually worded) summary of what I think about the character. Itās not something that should be taken as gospel, or without several handfuls of salt, itās just what I think. And I tend to have biases as well, against cats with hair (sorry, I just donāt buy into that) or people with more than, say, 4 or 5 characters (I personally canāt keep track than more than 2 or 3 at a time, and I struggle to understand how people can hold up 6 or seven).Ā
Briefly going back to the mental illnesses bit, I feel like I should clarify that my āissueā with this is that it seems to me like people are using them without fully grasping the scope of what theyāre trying to portray. Thereās a lot more to these things than just having them as a personality trait, and a limit to how much Google can tell you about what it feels like to actually have whatever youāre trying to give your character- and thatās a vital thing to know when youāre trying to roleplay a character, because roleplaying involves getting inside the head of your character, not just directing their motions like a puppeteer. (That is to say, being a puppetmaster is not the role of a roleplayer.) Itās also something that should be handled with a degree of seriousness that I just donāt think something like a cat roleplay group can manage. Itās an extremely serious and controversial topic, not a toy for people to play around with. And thatās why it makes me uncomfortable to see people using it as, to all appearances, a toy. Giving their character a mental illnesss because āitāll be fun [to RP]ā.Ā

^ Thatās the meme, and one of the options is āhate themā. So, example time!
If someone picked that, obviously they would likely explain why they hate said character. And in that explanation would be the criticisms of the character - the explanation as to why the persons dislikes the character. So the whole āyou donāt understand this memeā is sort of moot; criticizing the characters, for better or worse, is exactly the point of the meme.
