Easter 2026 is on April 5th this year, which means that Hope Week would be a little more than a month away, if this were a normal year.

This, however, is not a normal year, for me at least. I find myself with the month of April shaping up to be a difficult one with professional and family issues.

The world in general, and the RISE OF THE GUARDIANS fandom in particular, could really use some hope right now.

Is anyone interested in taking over my spot on this, or should the event go on hiatus? [I worry that even skipping a year might mean the event goes away for good, but maybe it needs a rest to come back fresh.]

Responsibilities would be coming up with seven thematic prompts, related to Spring, promoting the event, and then from April 5th through April 11th reblogging people's contributions for each prompt.

I've been cleaning up and going through some old sketchbooks, and I found some doodles I hadn't shared.

A silly one featuring... Helicopter!Bunny. It was probably based on book!Bunny's helicopter ears lol

The early days of Ebony and Kozmotis (I say early, as an earlier doodle in the same sketchbook marked it as being from 2014). Ebony punched someone who probably deserved it, and Koz is just smitten with his punchy wifey

This one's been sitting around for a bit. I like the idea of an AU where the Guardians don't know what Pitch actually looks like, but they need to speak to him for some reason.

And out of the caverns steps this tall pirate-looking mofo, dressed to the nines with abs for days.

"uhm, we were... hoping to find the Nightmare King?" North asks hesitantly.

"Speaking." Pitch Black responds, leaning casually to the side. His pose is non-threatening, rather relaxed to the point of casual...

Probably one of the dumbest things I've ever drawn.

But come on, the joke writes itself. Thousands, possibly millions of Fearlings, some of them originally having been humans to start with, and they didn't occasionally fight for control over one body?
