Mahabharat/Ramayana Character asks

Havan, Mahabharat Event 2022

To all who are interested,

I am inviting you to join me in celebrating a follower milestone for my main blog, @chaanv​, by participating in ‘Havan’.

‘Havan’ is a month-long event dedicated to the epic known as Mahabharat. The event will run from 6 Nov - 5 Dec 2022 and cover ten themes, with 3 days given to each theme.

To participate, you can create art, edits, fics, GIFs, moodboards, really anything you want.

Things to remember: 

You can participate as much or as little as you’d like to. Feel free to make multiple posts for a given theme or none at all.

New content is most appreciated, but old is also welcome.

Late submissions are welcome, too!

I reserve the right to ignore content I find hateful and/or offensive, but will use this right carefully.

I am not too great with tracking tags, but I want to see and reblog your content, so please use the following format for submissions:

Here are the themes: 

Day 1 (6-8 Nov):  Major Character

Choose a well-known and frequently discussed character from the epic.

Day 2 (9-11 Nov):  Minor / Underrated Character

Choose a character you want to have acknowledged or discussed more when it comes to the epic.

Day 3 (12-14 Nov):  Relationship

Choose a relationship from the epic - could be familial, platonic, romantic, etc.

Day 4 (15-17 Nov):  Weapon

Choose a weapon mentioned within the epic. Don’t forget about the astras.

Day 5 (18-20 Nov):  Event

Choose any event from the epic that impacts you.

Day 6 (21-23 Nov):  Fix-It?

“Fix” one thing within the epic. Does it really change the outcome?

Day 7 (24-26 Nov):  Adaptation

Choose one of the many adaptations of the epic - could be a book, movie, TV series, etc.

Day 8 (27-29 Nov):  Pandava

Choose a character who is one or ultimately sided with them. Don’t forget about the kids.

Day 9 (30 Nov - 2 Dec):  Kaurava

Choose a character who is one or ultimately sided with them. Don’t forget about the kids.

Day 10 (3-5 Dec):  Creator’s Choice

Draupadi and Bheem

Bheem: *helps Draupadi onto the counter*

Sahdev: *kicks Yudhishtir off of the sofa*

Arjun: *lies on the floor*

Nakul: … Are you okay?

Yudhishtir: If you bite it and you die, it’s poisonous. If it bites you and you die, it’s venomous.

Bheem: What if it bites me and it dies?

Arjun: Then you’re poisonous. For the love of Madhav, Bheem, learn to listen.

Nakul: What if it bites itself and I die?

Draupadi: That’s vashikaran.

Bheem: What if it bites me and someone else dies?

Sahdev: That’s correlation, Brata Bheem, not causation.

Nakul: What if we bite each other, but neither of us dies?

Draupadi: That’s kinky.

I was reading through the Mahabharat characters in High School AU by @askhindumyths from agessss ago... and felt like drawing Draupadi as the HG!!!!

A lovely anon requested a Draupadi x Pandavas fic, and this spiraled into a busy day in the life of Draupadi fic. I am happy with it, though.

Krishna and Draupadi (Krishnaa)

Draupadi and Arjun

Subhadra, whispering over her shoulder: What do we do?

Subhadra, facing the camera again: We gossip about them.

Subhadra: ……

Draupadi: *snatches the mic*

Draupadi: It’s me.

Draupadi, to Arjun: Do you have anything to say?

Arjun: ……

Arjun: No.

Arjun, cautiously: But it’s me.

Draupadi: You see? He said “no”. It’s me.

Krishna, sitting back and eating an ice cream cone: There you have it.

This really reminds me of a scene I saw recently:

Arjun, to Draupadi: Do you love Krishna more than you love me?

Draupadi, smirking: Let me ask you the same question.

Arjun: *heart eyes*

Arjun: Oof touché.

Basically, we will never have any answers when it comes to this trio.

Wow a really sweet anon asked me to write fluff for Draupadi-Arjun after my last fic, and this kind of… happened. I’ve kept it pretty general, though, in case some of you’d feel uncomfortable with… the details.
