it’s called PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) and it’s basically PMS but make it Super Hardcore, it’s a hormonal disorder and to my knowledge they’re not exactly sure what causes it - there’s theories tho - but there seems to be little research on it anyway. As I said it’s similar to PMS in terms of symptoms [mood swings, lethargy, cramps, changed sleeping pattern, libido, appetite] but the symptoms get so severe that they are interfering with your daily life and impacting it negatively. Especially in terms of psychological symptoms, while it doesn’t go that far for everyone who has it and also not every month, a lot of the people who experience it are sent into a severe depressive episode beause of it and it’s really not rare at all for them to experience legitimate suicidal thoughts that go away the second they get their period (or up to two days in from what I’ve read).

I’ve read different claims on how many people it affects, some sources say 5%, others 8%, others say 2% so I don’t know about that, but menstruating people need to know this lmao. Not knowing that your suicidality is caused by a literal physical disorder that you have can be so dangerous, especially when you already struggle with such issues anyway or are trying to recover from mental illness and don’t realize that your “relapses” are symptoms of an actual disorder.

In Romania, there is a museum called the Bran Museum. It shows village life in the area, having real houses to showcase, along with objects used in day to day life and other important objects, of historical, ethnographic and cultural value.

All of this may be wiped away and demolished because of a retrocession of the plot of land the museum is on. The plot of land is near Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle. The people who will take over have plans to build a “Dracula land” in place of this invaluable treasure.

Why? Because of Dracula’s tale in the Western world, the place is a hotspot for tourism from people who heard the tale and nothing else of Romania. They bring money into the country, and gems like this place, where people can truly see what Romania is like, are overshadowed, forgotten and destroyed because of the legacy of an Irish writer that never visited the place, heard a story here of the undead and another story of a ruthless ruler, and combined them, with little thought of the consequences it would have on the people. Time and time again I meet people that never heard of my beautiful country, yet if I say Dracula or Transylvania, they either tell me straight they thought they were made up, or that they heard of them and nothing else from here.

SHORT HISTORY

1960 - Bran National Museum is established. It also has Bran Castle and Medieval Customs

2006 - Bran Castle and Medieval Customs are removed from the Museum’s patrimony. But this is another adventure.

2001 - The procedure of retrocession of the land to the descendants of a large land banker, who were nationalized in 1950, begins.

2016 - A buyer takes the litigation rights of 2/3 AFTER the process was won by the Museum and tries the second round.

2015 - The Ministry of Culture imposes inadequate lawyers and permanently maintains the vulnerability of land and heritage.

17.02.2020 - The executor will come to illegally close the museum, if someone from the ministry doesn’t stop it.

Nickelodeon have announced a plan to build an underwater theme park in Coron, Palawan, Philippines. They claim the 400 hectares would “advocate ocean protection,” however by building artificial structures they will actually damage and disrupt Palawan’s marine ecosystems - one of the Philippines most beautiful natural areas.

For a channel that targets children, this is unacceptable and sends a terrible message - to destroy the natural world and replace it with plastic and fantasy.
