Y’all I see ur greasy haired, same-shirt-for-two-weeks burnt out Jon head canons BUT!!! I maintain that my man can’t handle being dirty, he’s just messy and tired!! Like has he ironed a single one of his work shirts since 2016? Absolutely not, but they always smell like a fuckin’ meadow. How long has it been since he had a haircut that wasn’t done at 3 in the morning over his kitchen sink? No one knows, BUT his hair is always clean asf and god knows there are never dishes in that sink overnight.

Like I think there are just these fragments where you can see that before all the spooky shit, he was this incredibly put together dude, someone who took pride in their appearance. He just ran out of time in the day at some point after he started working at the institute, so non essentials fell by the wayside.

Even then, though, I think he clung to normalcy and arguably sanity by forcing himself to make time for mundane shit like shampooing his hair and doing the laundry on a regular basis, even in the face of a budding apocalypse bc he didn’t have people to lean on for stability, so he leaned on routine instead.

society fucked up by letting dvds go out of style because streaming is not ownership, titles leave streaming services to end up on another (or leave streaming entirely) all the time and stuff gets edited out a lot too. physical media is so important i wish buying dvds and physically owning something could be “trendy” again because corporations have ruined streaming forever with their greed
