Driven to snow
Yeah hi, been a while huh? Sooo I recently got back into Cult of the lamb, thanks to Woolhaven, and it compelled me to write out my journey of my newly made save file that I made for Woolhaven. KEEP IN MIND that I am nowhere near a great writer, I just like telling my stories. So, if this sorta pilot chapter does well, I might continue! So, lets get on with it, shall we?
...Darkwood. I'd often come here to collect camellias and other herbs to help others with. Even when we had enough, I'd still go out to get more just incase. I was resourceful like that.
But now, none of that mattered. Every lamb i'd known and loved, is dead. Either from that ruthless hunter's blade, or from their own in an act of defiance. As much as I wished to join them, I couldn't. I couldn't let our species die out so effortlessly.
But even after weeks of hiding, rationing, hunting, it was all for naught. The Bishops had found me, captured me, and now... I stood before the place of my execution.
The ground and air felt cold. Not as cold as my home, but cold enough to make me reminisce. Each step felt agonizing with my damaged hooves, but I ignored the pain. Soon enough, I stood before the ones responsible for executing my kind.
Leshy, Heket, Kalamar, and Shamura. The Bishops of The Old Faith.
As they spewed their speech about how the 'prophecy' could no longer be fulfilled, I couldn't help myself. I let out a chuckle, which then turned into a maniacal laugh as the Bishops stared at me in annoyance.
"And just what are you laughing at Lamb?"
I eased my laughter a bit, reduced to a few giggles as I grit my teeth in anger. Commiting genocide just to prevent some prophecy from happening. Heh... It was most definitely something the Bishops would do.
"...selfish..."
Heket growled under her breath, annoyed by my antics.
"Speak up you sniveling pest! It may as well be the final words of your kind."
"...SELFISH!"
My voice rose, unable to contain my anger towards these so called 'gods'.
"You four care only of yourselves! Nobody else! My kind had lived in peace, until you came in and slaughtered every one of us! And for what? A mere prophecy? Do you have ANY idea what you had done?"
I tugged at my chains, displaying my rage and defiance towards them.
"It doesn't matter what you do to change it, a prophecy will ALWAYS be fulfilled with time. This was all for nothing. You four will all perish, and I hope it will be as agonizing as I have felt, when you killed everyone I cared for."
I kneeled on my knees, turning towards the executioner beside me.
"Do your job. Make it quick and strike your axe into my skull."
I noticed at how the executioner winced at my request. She leaned towards me, speaking in a hush tone full of pity.
"A-Are you sure..?"
I laid my head low, comfirming my choice. I heard her raising her axe up as I waited for my inevitable death. In my final moments of consciousness, I heard the executioner whisper.
"Close your eyes... wh-when you open them... you will see your loved ones a-again..."
