Scuffle of the Shapes - Auditions are now OPEN!
“Welcome back, shapes of all types, to the White Room!”
“My name is Step!”
“Mine is Pulse.”
“And this is Scuffle of the Shapes!”
“Not to be confused with the similarly named ‘scuffl of da shaeps’.”
“Now Pulse, what is Scuffle of the Shapes?”
“You said the wrong line. I was supposed to ask you.”
“...ahem, ANYWAYS… an introduction is needed for the clueless!”
INTRO
“Scuffle of the Shapes is the third of me and Pulse’s series of JSAB Tumblr Contests! In them, a group of competitors are picked to do a number of challenges, gaining points from both how well-done they did & polls where other people vote on their favorite attempt.”
“After the initial set of challenges conclude, the top 4 amongst them compete in the final challenge, which has its own system. Winner of the finale is the winner of the entire game!”
“That’s the general gist of things! Now, I’ll hand things over to Pulse to explain what THIS time is all about!”
SotS-SPECIFIC DETAILS
“Okay, now that Step educated you all about the gist of things, it’s now time for what this contest brings to the table.”
“The grand prize this time is a bowl of noodles so unfathomably good that entire universes would go to war for it. It’s called the Insta– wait”
Pulse quickly scribbles out the name of the cup noodles he is holding, and writes over it a new name.
“The... uh... really good ramen bowl!”
“...yeah”
“...ahem… The first was Battle of the Blixers, which was amongst ‘Blixers’, the large pink boss men (and women), and the second was Clash of the Cubes, which was amongst cubes like yours truly, me.”
“For this third contest, the competitors this time are no longer restricted. I mean, they’re restricted to JSAB still, but this time they can be ANY character. Barracudas, Players, Blixers and Cubes again, all are welcome! You don’t even need to be an official character; JSAB OCs are all welcome as well.”
“Not only that, but all former competitors, finalists, early leavers, winners or otherwise can join and have an equal chance! If you want to give another shot at competing, you are very welcome to!”
“But that’s not all the gimmicks this time!”
TEAMS
“This contest will now allow teams!”
“Teams? Hooooow will that work??”
“you overblew the sarcasm” “lol”
“If you want to, you can compete in this competition with a team! Bring a friend! Hell, bring three!”
“What he’s saying is that you can sign up for SotS as a team. However, there will be a maximum limit of 4 people per team, we don’t want someone to add their whole AU in.”
“Another fun addition to this, uh, addition, is that you can collaborate with other JSAB creators and team up together! Have your separate Blixers and such work together if you want!”
“To all the lone wolves out there, do not worry. Teams aren’t mandatory, you can still compete solo if you want. I’d imagine it’ll be a bit harder for some challenges that way though, but some are also much easier.
HOW TO JOIN?
“If you want to join in, it’s simple! Simply send in an audition. You can either reblog this post with the audition, tag your audition with the #scuffle_of_the_shapes tag, ping the creator @nyazh or @nyazhs_jsablr, or do all three!”
“Your audition must include all people competing, reference sheets, and a team name. There will only be 12 slots, but it would’ve been 15 if tumblr had more poll slots.”
“Deadline ends on May 24. Plenty of time to audition! Results will be shown a week later, or over the course of the week. You vote on what you wanna see.”
“The way we decide people who get in isn’t solely based on art skill, we’re not judgemental like that. We also want to see cool characters, so if you catch our attention then you have a higher chance of getting in. We wanna see some interesting competitors, so if you have some cool stuff to show off, then show them off. That, and our word is law, so if we want something in because of one reason or another, why not?”
“Now with that said… I’m Pulse.”
“And I’m Step,”
“And this is Scuffle of the Shapes!”
“Good luck auditio-oO0-o—
