Here are my personal opinons and rankings of the Huntr/x & Saja Boys Songs

SEPERATE

Huntr/x

How it’s Done: it rocks; can hear them all/seems almost balanced between the 3; gives look at personality; IT ROCKS

What it Sounds Like: actually being honest with each other, no lies; however, I hear Rumi more than Zoey or Mira, so it’s feels less balanced between them, who are supposed to be equals/partners

Golden: it’s a good song OUT OF CONTEXT; mostly Rumi’s song but is supposed to be some kind of vision board song; HOWEVER OUT OF CONTEXT: ITS A LIE. Literally: ‘no more hiding I’ll be shining’?!?!?! Rumi is lying through her teeth! The song is all kinds of toxicity. To Mira and Zoey, it’s probably a lot less toxic, but from Rumi? Hella toxic and internalized things. Static ideal hypocritical etc etc etc. Raaaaaah! Grrrr.

Takedown: full of hatred; it sounds good but it feels like it drags you down, not lift you up

Saja Boys

Your Idol: it’s an awesome song. It rocks. Hooo boy. It’s awesome. HOWEVER. I have a hard time differentiating Mystery & Romance from Jinu’s singing parts. Obviously, it’s dragging the KPop industry, and it’s parasocialism etc and that’s always good. It’s got a good beat too. Also, that one car beep thingy always throws me, makes me think I turned up my headphones too hard

Soda Pop: I just really don’t like the ‘bubblegum pop’ genre? I think that’s what it’s called. Also. It sounds very suggestive. And I HATE Romance & Abby’s outfits the most. Then Baby’s. Romance has to many hearts. His yellow doesn’t match Mystery’s yellow/warm gold. It seems more tinny. Cut out some hearts man. Abby: he’s built! He doesn’t need a shirt 4x too small to look attractive. Use suggestion. We all have that little Victorian man switch in our heads. So: Bodysuits? Muscle shirts with layers over it? Normal jeans? Cheeky little meshness? Like his top during Your Idol? Plunging necklines? Like, just barely over the abs.

ALL TOGETHER

Your Idol: it’s my fave genre

How It’s Done: it’s peak. Mira is awesome

What it Sounds Like: Most Honest Song from Huntr/x

Golden: good song out of context, not in context

Takedown: hateful but good beat/melody

Soda Pop: I don’t like this genre of song. Bleh

Also, I was playing around with having the normal songs going, and then layering instrumental versions of other ones over it and Takedown and Your Idol have Very similar beats to each other.

It feels like it’s gonna be low-action & more slice of life. Mostly the Sajas get kidnapped and have to deal with vampire etiquette

Also, many Native men and women were ridiculed harshly for these expression of culture by colonizers, which led to these people feeling shame, and then not teaching or allowing their children to continue these natural expressions of who they are.

this led to traditional tattoos almost being lost to time.

So, (and I know that many would not know) seeing these characters who are not Native gets me really fired up
