Sometimes I want to cry when I remember perception of Clace is now tainted because of the whole incest plot mess reckoning. I have a lot of thoughts about Cassandra plot developments but I am 100% sure she wasnt trying to glorify incest with the angst about Clace lineage in the earlier books. As soon that motherfucker Valentine Morgenstern said Jace was "his" son in City of Bones, I knew Jace wasnt his biological child and thus never felt a ounce of guilty about shipping him with Clary because they werent blood related or even raised together. It was WAY harder for me to understand why Simon or Alec would have a crush on Clary and Jace when they had a sibling dinamic with them (maybe that was the true incest red flag)
