Hey art guys, here’s a tip: Reverse storyboarding.

Watch a movie that you really like the art or composition of, and whenever the camera angle, viewpoint, or characters actions/interactions change noticeably, pause the movie and draw a little sketch of what you see. It doesn’t have to be gorgeous. This is just for you. Get down the layout of the composition, the placement and gestures of characters, or the lighting or color that is used to make that particular moment in time express that particular moment in the story.

You don’t have to pay anyone to teach you to do this. You are paying yourself forward. Your future art self will thank you for taking the time now to study masterfully created compositions, gestures, light/shadow, and settings/scenery. Think of how much your own compositions, gestures, use of light and shadow, and settings and scenery will improve!

Like with anything learn from reference, break things down into shapes and once you’ve learned how they work you can manipulate them on your own from there

I don’t really know what people generally call this method of sigil making, so I’m just calling it “Letter Shaping” because you’re using the basic shapes from certain letters. This is the most common form of sigil making, and it allows the most creative influence. As you see above the sigils are for nearly the same thing, yet the sigils came out completely different. Not because the purpose was different, but because I approached them both a different creative way, and that’s what I like so much about this method. There’s a lot of freedom and personalization involved.

That is a dilute torbie. A strikingly dilute torbie, at that. She clearly has base coat orange where the orange stripes are, and faint but dark grey stripes in the areas where the base coat is pale grey.

This isn’t even that rare. Dilute/blue torties, calicos, torbies, and cali-cabbies/whatever you want to call them are definitely a thing. Maine coon breeders are apparently gaga for them.

I assume that the cat described in OP is a dilute or silver tortie, since /I/ would assume a “flame” would mean orange stripes. She doesn’t even have to be dilute, though. She could be a silver instead of a classic (brown) or black. Silverflame is an extremely plausible cat.

^^^^ this LaPerm in particular is a beautiful example of the greyness with clear patches. And the shorthair above is another great example of clear ginger stripes. And #2 with the gorgeous fluff and the thin orange stripes? Shit I’d name that cat Silverflame. Please give me that cat.

This cat appears to have both black AND silver patches. She may be a chimera.

There are silver torbies.

^^^ this is a silver classic or perhaps even a marbled. Probably a marbled. Her markings would be very blobby, which explains the dark patches.

These cats are so strikingly beautiful I kinda wanna just die. btw I pulled a bunch of these photos from the Maine Coon Breeders & Fanciers Association so these are super legit.

This little cutie is the closest I can find to the blue-ginger tabby mutation as described in the illustration. She is listed as a silver-chocolate torbie by the breeder.
