You can clearly see the change in their relationship in BOTL, he no longer antagonizes Percy but he feels annoyed that he is warming up to him. The same way he chooses to talk to Percy in TLO and says that "Any of the other heroes could do the job as well" but he specifically chose Percy because he trusts him to understand and do what needs to be done , he is just pretending he still doesn't care abt him but it's so clear he does 😭😭😭 I love himmm smmmm
