i think it’s really cool that wrecker is like. hunter’s ride or die for most of the show. even in clone wars, bro just listens to him and respects him at all times. “wrecker DROP HIM” and he does. season one episode one, when hunter goes after caleb and the other troopers show up saying they have orders from the supreme chancellor, but wrecker blocks them and goes “hunter’s HANDLING IT”
lots of other examples throughout season 1 and 2, and even in the sanctuary book apparently (i haven’t read it yet but i’ve seen bits and snippets), where wrecker listens to hunter pretty much no matter what. sure he’ll do a little bro complaint or something, but he trusts and respects hunter completely. if he tells him to do something, he’s going to do it.
then season 2 finale happens. and in season 3, we see that actually change.
he’s questioning hunter. telling him to stop and think. yea, he still trusts him and follows orders, but there’s doubt now. and not because he thinks hunter is at fault for what happened to tech and omega, but because that event probably brought so much doubt and anxiousness where before he had only had very little. he was always a very confident person, and so much of that is shattered after they lose tech.
Wrecker in season 3 is the one holding it all together because someone has to and there’s no one else around to do it. Hunter is actively not in a good mental or emotional place for much of the season. Wrecker was the only one by his side the entire time and saw that full process play out up close and personal. I don’t know if it was a conscious decision or just a reaction to the situation they were in, but Wrecker was definitely the responsible one in season 3.
Wrecker is also the most emotionally intelligent one out of the entire Batch. That emotional intelligence shows up in the maturity that Wrecker displayed in season 3. It’s what was needed of him. Him being as quiet as he was in season 3 was an indication of just how serious the whole situation was.
Anakin’s and Echo’s faces🤣 I’m sure Hunter’s and Rex’s faces are the same under their helmets. Damn I miss them.

This was the closest Anakin Skywalker ever got to having a “Come to Jesus” moment and the fact that it was delivered this way is so perfectly hilarious. Normally, Anakin is the guy responsible for planning and executing improbably successful plots. Not here though. Nope, our boy Tech gave that man a taste of his own medicine. (That little shit better be so proud of himself.)
Out of everyone else here, Hunter’s probably thinking, “Welp, this isn’t the weirdest thing I’ve done today.” Meanwhile, Rex is trying to figure out every single way he can prevent Anakin from requesting that the Bad Batch permanently join the 501st.
And Echo can’t believe he got woken up from a nap for this. Unfortunately, he didn’t catch the memo that this was an indicator of everything else to come.

something i’ve been thinking about based on some posts i saw earlier today:
wrecker is definitely the brother that makes his siblings hug after a fight. prime example right here-
think about it. he’s definitely the most emotionally mature out of the batch. he’s also the only one that really goes out of his way to hug anyone (for the most part) in pretty much the entire show. dude is definitely a hugger. and he thinks everyone else should be too lmao
whenever any of his brothers fight, he makes them hug after. he will keep telling them over and over until they give up and do it. if they’re being really stubborn (because crosshair absolutely would be) push them into it with his brute strength. when he forces them to hug, they can’t get out of it. most of the time it just ends up with them hugging wrecker because he’s smushing them together with his arms. “there there were hugging big guy can you let go of me now?” type shit.
the others would definitely not hug after fights unless wrecker made them. they won’t admit it but it does actually help

Alexsandr Kallus, you better come get your husband before he “accidentally” adopts a kid without telling you about it beforehand.

I correct my earlier statement.
Kallus would be pissed that Zeb adopted a kid when he wasn’t there to do it with him. No one comments when Rotta gets all teary-eyed about having a pair of adopted papas who fight over who is the most supportive of their new kid (and who gets to throw hands whenever anyone gives Rotta shit for being a Hutt/Jabba’s son).
Also, no one tells Ezra about this until he meets up with the Kallus/Zeb/Rotta family unit. (It’s Zeb’s idea to get back at Ezra for being away for so long . . . and also for that Jabba alias Ezra used as a kid.)
Can we get a Bad Batch AU where everything is the same except Omega finds a Polaroid camera early on and then goes on a series-long side quest to take hilariously awful candid shots of every single brother?
(Oh, and Tech is totally fine, by the way.)

5 absolutely - I'm between two hot Rohirrim, I've got two funny guys behind me (even if they'd kick the seat lol), I can listen to Boromir and Faramir banter, and if I'm lucky Gandalf will pass along some pipeweed (he definitely magicked security to let him bring that onto the plane). The only downside is that Aragorn and Arwen are probably swapping spit while Elrond isn't looking and PDA on a plane is always awkward. Anyway. Number 5 please.

1. Cody valiantly risked himself to save them in a dramatic show of loyalty and trust

As awesome as the first one would be, the second one seems absolutely on brand for the Bad Batch. Gleefully violent destruction of battle droids is their calling card.
