also i kind of never am really around the elderly (work with kids; grandparents all dead; etc) but spending time with older family has me realizing stuff like 83 is young

also i didn’t realize how often i zone out in conversation until this trip and i think while im probably zoning out a little more bc it’s hard work following a language you’re still learning im confronting the reality that i also am just really practiced at piecing together what’s been said when i zone back in in the languages i know better. and am more comfortable asking people to repeat. whoops

no one told me franz drameh came back to make an appearance in lot season 7 and I’m holding every single one of you personally responsible

everyone in my life wants me to be an OT…at what point do i give in and genuinely look into it

i do think it’s funny that i started a tradition of buying my nieces and nephews books for their birthdays and xmas and now my mother has joined in except she buys them each like. 10 books per event. which doesn’t exactly make my consistent 1-2 books per event since they were born look too good

being mid at a language is kind of awesome when you don’t want to be involved in a conversation and don’t particularly care to know what’s said
