I like to think (ok I don’t LIKE to think but I do think) that sometimes Killer thinks about the alternate paths.

Is he jealous he doesn't get a happy ending when he knows another version of him does?? Is he angry that not every path is the same for him. Is he confused that he even has multiple endings at all?? Does he ever get glimpses of what it could've been whether good or bad?? Can he even comprehend it?? Does it fuck him up, knowing there’s another him out there, still under Nightmare’s reign. Does it fuck him up that that could’ve, so easily, been him? Does he ever think about what might have happened to let him escape? What could’ve happened to meet that same fate? What was different about these two ‘hims’ that caused such an altering ending? Does it ever mess with him that not every Killer is the same?? That they’re all the same person, and yet one single, simple, silly little thing happened to become almost unrecognizable to each other?? That even though, yes, in theory, they were all still ‘Killer’ and yet he wasn’t always promised a happy ending. And he may never know why. The fact that yes, he is Killer, but he’s not Killer and oh stars what does it even mean to be “Killer” is he even a person if there’s a Killer out there who doesn’t think like him then how does he think and how is he supposed to think to be Killer but he’s not Killer because the concept of “Killer” doesn’t mean anything because what Killer might do isn’t what Killer does and what does it mean to be “Killer” does it have meaning at all is it supposed to have meaning and what if it doesn’t what happens then he’s essentially meaningless and that’s freeing in a way but also kind of terrifying and oh stars above now he’s spiraling.

Been trying to write more Color and Killer things and I'm trying to find how Color fits in my style and how I view/headcanon him.

So far, I'm focusing on his talking style, and he's kind of a middle ground between Dust and Cross.

Kind of that low energy, straightforwardness Dust has. But also that genuine and playfulness Cross has. And I think he has a little bit of that profound, poetic wordiness Nightmare has. It's so weird and hard to pinpoint exactly him since I can't hear his voice in my head and his personality yet, but soon enough. In time, he will come to me.

Idk, just think it's an interesting part of writing.

Differentiating characters based on how they talk and how I headcanon each AU Sans to talk and how that ties into their personality.

(It's also a little frustrating because man I just wanna write this story but I wanna make sure when you read it your brain goes "yup that's Color talking" and not "Hey, this is something that Cross would say too" because fck my Kross brain)
