This is really how I feel sometimes, and it’s probably because every adult just shrugged my childhood off. Shout out to the friends my age I probably emotionally exhausted unburdening myself when I felt like dying, though! I feel like I ruined those childhood friendships in the longterm by being too needy, but really… the fact that I had a handful of people who did care, even though they couldn’t do anything because they were also kids… is the reason I’m alive and not more profoundly screwed up. So thank you, if you’re out there. I credit you with that.
