Robby has always been straight. He’s in his late 40s, he obviously knows his own sexuality. So it doesn’t register to him that there’s anything suspicious about the way that he’s subconsciously got his hands all over Dennis, all the time. That’s his mentee. Robby’s only looking out for the kid. Dennis and Trinity come to the conclusion that Robby is trying to get Dennis to make the first move because of their power imbalance. But Dennis isn’t willing to risk this position he’s worked so hard for… until Robby follows him into a supply closet and shuts the door behind him. Well, what else could that possibly mean? Dennis reaches up and kisses his boss, only to get shoved away. What the fuck are you doing?! The anger (fear?) in Robby’s eyes makes Dennis shrink in on himself. Then, he gets indignant. What are YOU doing? What are you doing in a closet with me? What were you doing with your hand around my waist an hour ago? And Robby can’t answer that. He’d needed something from the supply closet, yes, but why had he gone in there at the same time as Dennis, and shut the door? Robby can only leave the closet quickly, leaving Dennis breathing heavily, alone. Robby does a lot of thinking during the rest of the shift. When it’s time to go home, Robby finds Dennis and drags him back into that same supply closet. Dennis opens his mouth to yell at him, but then Robby’s mouth and hands are on him. Okay, Robby can admit, maybe he wasn’t so straight after all.
