post pittfest mean!robby - part one - part two
post pittfest robby who is turns into more and more of a sick freak the more depressed he is, the more he spirals the harder he fucks. pushing your head into the mattress as he fucks into you from behind. also loving to see you gag on his cock, putting pressure on your throat to see how far you would go for him. he loves seeing the tears streaming down your face, all for him.
he treats you like a one night stand, leaving before you wake up or even leaving straight after youâre both finished. at work he treats you tougher than the others, nitpicking the tiniest mistake. sometimes throwing comments about your ill fitting scrubs or âinappropriateâ conversations with the nurses during breaks. sometimes he sucks at your neck and collar bones extra hard just to comment on it the next day saying you look easy if you donât cover them up, acting as if he wasnât the one to give you them.
Jack Abbot x Wife!Reader she took a sibling or friend to PittFest and Jack cannot get ahold of her. Heâd be so distraught.
Oh so you're evil! I like it.

Jack Abbot sees individual patients. Michael Robinavitch sees the whole.
Itâs why Jack is able to come down from the roof much easier. Itâs why heâs able to stand on the roof and not take the last step. Yes, itâs cause for concern, but Robby never seemed all too scared. Heâs always been able to get Jack on the right side of the railing. Itâs just what he does when it gets too much. But Jack can see the separate lives he saves. He knows who he helps and he knows heâs made at least one persons life better. Thereâs losses, of course there are, but there are still people who get helped because of him.
Conversely, Robby can only see the chaos. He can only see the whole. Thereâs not individual people who heâs helped. Thereâs always a patient who needs something more. Always someone who needs more help. After Pittfest, thatâs what gets him. They walk away from (one of) the worst day of their career, and thereâs still more. There is always more. Thatâs why heâs up on the roof and why Jack cannot stop talking. If he stops talking, thereâs a chance Robby is taking another step and heâs gone forever. The only thing left behind being his stethoscope and the lives he changed that he canât see.

warnings/notes: Our girl is taking care of her men post Pittfest so all applicable warnings apply. In this AU Robby dated Janey but did not stay in Jake's life for whatever reason. For all we know that means Jake didn't even go to Pittfest. I think that's it. Enjoy!
Chapter Eight: Nearly Break
when I can't love me today, she's there to carry the weight to pull me out the rain, pulls me out the rain and when it gets harder to breathe, she is right there next to me am I enough to stay? at the point I nearly break
You had the TV playing on mute in the background while you read through a grant proposal. A bright red banner reading âBreaking Newsâ crossed the TV screen and you scrambled to find the remote. When you finally unmuted the anchor, you sucked in a breath as your stomach churned.

Jack returned Robbyâs half-hug as he scanned the scene, taking stock of their progress towards set up for the incoming MCI.
Something seemed off. He saw new faces â fuck, it was Day 1 for a lot of these kids. And where was Collins? Where was Langdon? What the hell was going on?
It made a cold shiver run down his back. It was probably a bad sign that Robby was looking at him like he was the second coming.
Or that there was a kid trying to slip out of sight behind Donahue that looked oddly familiar.
It took his brain a few seconds to place him.
Oh, fuck.
26, bottom, canât host. Sad eyes, skinnier in person than Jack actually liked. But he didnât blink an eye at jackâs leg, mumbling something about farm accidents.
The boy had been tense when he showed up last night. Jumpy. Only stopped compulsively apologizing when there was something in his mouth. Only seemed to relax when he was fully pinned down.
This wasnât the worst thing Jack had ever compartmentalized in a crisis.
Jack brushed by the boy later that evening as they were unpacking the bins. He shouldâve kept his mouth shut and said something sensible like we can talk about this later and it wonât happen again.
âI canât say I expected to see you here,â Jack murmured. âBut Iâm not unhappy about it. I know youâre good with your hands⊠And you can take orders.â
The boys eyes went wide. âYes, sir.â
Jack gave him a theatrically stern look. âGood. Donât prove me wrong.â
But then he snapped back to reality and softened. âCome find me at the end of this. Itâll be bad but I promise it will end.â

Maybe Iâm just really interested in stories where Whitaker is picked up and plopped down in another universe (like put that boy in situations)
But I imagine a world where Dennis is experiencing a ground hog day or butterfly effect level of repeats, to the point where he relieves his first day at PTMC except one thing is different.
Robby is not on schedule that day.
He himself knows Robby, he has his memories and knows the cases he was present for. But because Robby is not on staff, things around them go differently.
Sure, Dennis temporarily saves his first patients life, but gets questioned like heâs an idiot for putting a heart monitor on a stable patient. Until ofc it detects the heart attack 30 minutes later.
Because Robby is not there, Mr. Spencerâs kids have a harder time because they are overridden over the power of attorney by Collinâs and the attending on staff.
Because Robby is not there, the parents of Nick Bradley are gently, but more bluntly told of the outcome that their only son faced.
It all feels so hallow and exceptionally different that the rest of the night that is to come doesnât cross his mind. That is until he overhears Langdon and Dana joking about Pittfest that evening.
âWhat is that old man going to get out of it anyway?â Langdon jokes, a tone of jest and affection infecting his voice.
âHe likes music! Besides, itâs mostly for Jake anyway. You get it, you got kids, sure a 4 year old is easy to connect with, but this is a teenager weâre talking about. And anyway, you know today is tough one for him.â
Langdon nods in agreement, but all Dennis can do is freeze up. He inserts himself into their conversation, something he would not normally do, but bursts out;
âDr. Robby is going to Pittfest?!â Asked with a mismatched intensity for someone he hasnât technically met yet. A tone not missed by them as they look at Dennis like he has three heads.
They say yes, probably heading down there pretty soon, actually. Dennis looks at the time and dashes away.
Things have been the same, only altered due to Robbyâs presence being lacking. There is no rationale to say that the Pittfest tragedy wouldnât happen too. Only slightly different.
Dennis recalls the construction team coordinator that came in that morning. He was sent upstairs, the attending taking Robbyâs proverbial place today still called in favor so he got good treatment without needing to be babysat. And sure enough, Dennis sneaks away and finds him in a room by himself FaceTiming all his guys. Dennis interrupts and asks, borderline begs for access to the concert festival. He looks at Dennis like heâs crazy, the festival is a small fortune and he doubts thereâs tickets left. After some major bartering, Dennis mentions Santos. Thanks to Santos and Garcia, he feels indenting for saving him (heâs unaware of the unnecessary bipap but that doesnât benefit Dennis to mention, so he doesnât).
Dennis is told to name drop him and his crew will get him in. Dennis wastes no time dashing out of there. He has never cut out of work a day in his life. Not even is shitty fast food job when he was in school.
Itâs already getting dark and he canât find Robby in the crowd. Even if he did, he doesnât know what heâd say. Robby does not know him. Will he disregard him as a babbling drugie party goer, quick to wheel his âstep kidâ away from him?
But this is Robby.
The man that he loves. The man who keeps forgetting about him. The man who hasnât met him yet.
He has to try.
He finds them as Jake holds up his phone video calling his new girlfriend to introduce her and Robby. He jokes about how it should be her with Jake at the festival. Jake laughing saying he wouldnât do that since he got them the tickets.
Dennis runs up and frantically tells Robby heâs needed at the hospital and he has to go. That they both should just go. Of course, they are confused. Confused by this guy in a brown hoodie over his scrubs.
Dennis pulls on Robby begging that he has to go. That he canât be here. That he has to go. Jake asks if he knows him and Robby says no and tries to pull out of Dennisâ hold.
Heâs too late. Lost track of time. He wasnât entirely sure when it started. But he heard the screams first, followed by the distant sounds of gun fire. Robby of course covers Jake instinctually. But Dennis tries to cover Robby. He body is smaller by he clings to his large back.
Robby looks back and looks at Dennis holding him tightly. He curses under his breath before gripping his arm with his hand and dragging him along with him and Jake in the search for cover and safety.
The shots rain heavy and unorganized. If any of them were hit, Dennis doesnât know. Hell, if he had been hit he wouldnât even know due to the amount of discombobulating adrenaline and blood rushing through his ears.
They climb into a truck bed with others. Piled in, Robby looks at Dennis with suspicion. Dennis understands. He tells them to leave right before a large scale tragedy takes the night. Itâs unrealistic. It was a foolish decision, but Dennis would rather him pissed at him and be alive.
Dennis looks him over all the same. Itâs hard to tell what blood, if any, is his. Robbyâs eyes go off Dennis to the hurt people in the back of the truck with him. Robby begins trying to treat the victims while they bounce around at high speeds.
He takes his belt off to tie tightly around a young woman leg as a tourniquet. He gestures for Dennis to âbuck up, doctor.â Dennis nods and tries to help the others too.
They get to PTMC and are pulled out. They are surprised by Robby but even more so by Dennis. The new MS4 who disappeared part way through his shift.
They take back Jake with only a bit of fight. Robby tells him to go with them to get looked at. Dennis jumps down and offers his hand to Robby, who grimaces at him, slapping his hand away, jumping down on his own. He stumbles as his feet hit the concrete of the ambulance bay. Cursing with a grimace. Dennis yells for a wheel chair, Shen obliging. Robby told him to fuck off, but is forced into it to be looked at too.
Chaos ensues as it always did. Seeing it over and over didnât make it easier to experience. Especially this time as all of the doctors look at Dennis sideways as he walks through the halls.
Not much time passes and Dana calls Dennis over and directs him under false pretenses into B2. He can see the son of the mom who had come in earlier locked up next door. Dana closes the door and Dennis is stuck. She said heâd he questioned later.
Dennis hits the glass with his fist, but ultimately sits on the bed with his face in his hands.
After a while, Robby wheels up in a wheelchair and has Ahmed open the door. Dennis looks up at him as he enters.
âHow is your leg? Were you shot?â
âGrazed,â Robby growls.
Dennis whimpers, apologizing.
âWhy are you apologizing?!â
âI didnât get there soon enough.â
âSo you did know it was going to happen.â
Dennis nods. âBut not howâd you think.â
âOkay, so what you arenât part of it? Okay, fine, but you knew it was going to happen and you didnât do anything to stop it!â
âI tried.â
âNo, you didnât!â
âLast time. They didnât believe me. They never believe me.â
Robbyâs face falls.
âJust who are you anyway? Who the fuck are you and how do you know me!â
Dennis lets his head drop. âYou have Ahmed at the door not a real cop. You donât really think Iâm behind any of this.â
Robby shakes his head. âHavenât decided that yet.â
Dennis nods, still slumped forward. âYouâre alive, so I donât care.â
Robby stares at him for a while longer. Whispering âwho are you?â
âSomeone who is happy you are alive.â
