now, stay with me, alex (our favourite political bi mastermind who is NAMED AFTER ALEXANDER HAMILTON), tells henry he loves him for the first time IN A LAKE DURING SUMMER.

a). i don’t know if i picked up on some subtle chemistry or if my psychopath brain just invented it, but i kind of thought taristan and ronin were together? i have to admit, eristan is pretty hot, but i totally assumed taristan and the wizard were a couple until the whole thing with erida began.

b). i love andry trelland with my entire heart and soul. he’s so sweet??? the amount of love and loyalty he has for the people he cares about is heart warming and i love his budding relationship with corayne. (also, the thing with the tea pot. fucking adorable)

c). enemies to lovers with witty banter between an assassin and an honourable immortal? yes please. domacridhan and sorasa have so much chemistry and i live for their interactions.

d). speaking of love interests for sorasa, sigil and her would also make such an incredible couple?? don’t ask me why, but i have a feeling dom is going to die in a future realm breaker book, which is going to break my heart in two, but it could open a doorway for sorasa and sigil (which could potentially stitch my broken heart back together)

e). valtik is a boss ass bitch. she’s so sick, i hope we get to see more of how powerful she is in the next book.

f). corayne is probably the first relatable ya protagonist i have ever read about. she’s a child whose still learning her place in the world and who she is, which is something i can totally relate to as a seventeen year old myself. she’s scared and young and naive, but she’s still fiercely protective and strong. she embodies the idea that fear and strength are free to coexist; it doesn’t matter how scared you are, as long as you continue to move forward. also, i really love how the older characters like sorasa see her as a teenager and do everything they can to take the burden of saving the realm off her shoulders, even though it’s hers to bear. found family trope who?
