There are a kot of make up for beginners youtube videos but, the list of products goes on and on and on so, make for beginners on a budget.

Skin prep (or how to keep your skin always looking the best it can be):

Micelar water / soap: you'll need to take the products. If it's cheap and a micelar water soap, it's perfect. No need for thirty products.

Cream / toner / lotion: buy according to your skin type (there are a lot of youtube videos on this. Don't trust any that are trying to sell you something). One product is enough. Drink water.

Sunscreen: skin cancer is a thing, a serious one. If you have sensitive skin, buy the one for babies, they'll be cheaper than the fancy ones for the face.

Tools (or the things you need to apply make up. Can be bought on Shein - just remember to always wash and dry before first use):

Sponge: can be used wet or dry to blend the product on your face: the one that looks like a tear drop with a flat base;

Powder buff: a very fluffy triangle to apply powder

or

Two very high thread brushes, a fluffy and a compact one: not the flat ones, the ones that are round when you see from above. It can be one stick with a brush on each end (the fluffiest one is for powder, the more compact one is for liquids)

Make up (or the actual products you'll really need to do a real make up - be careful and don't buy products that don't have a guarantee of being tested by dermatologists):

Concealer: basically, a high pigmented foundation. Liquid is more beginner friendly. It has to dry your skin tone so, for the first buy, go to the physical store, walk around while it dries and then decide something that looks good on different lights.

Blush / lipstick: now days already exists tested products that work both as lipstick and as blush. You'll need only one, for a beginner. Match the blush to the color of your flushed skin, it will work with your skin as a lipstick.

Mascara: buy one that will match your eyebrows, because it will act like an eyebrow gel. After you organize your makeup budget, you can buy a product specifically to your brows.

Powder: the liquids need to stay locked in. It has to be on a color that matches your skin.

Setting spray: you don't the makeup to melt away before lunch. Will probably be the most expensive item on the list

Terminology (or wtf are u talking about):

Pigmentation: how strong is the color in the same quantity of product. High pigmentation will paint the skin better (for products like foundations), and work better on poc (for products like blush and lipstick)

Finish: not the person from Finland, the way the product "dries" on the skin. Can be matte, glowy (looking wet, not the best for dey skin) or in between.

It has been in my head in the last two years and... If this helps anybody, in any way, it's nice. But it will get out of my head as well.

This part one of a series I'll call: moving out and adulting.

These are things I discovered after first moving out, even if my situation was nicer than what I'll be talking about. And also, I was inspired by the click videos about insane parents that made me want to talk about it.

I want to talk about situations where you will move out of the house you live, and the maybe whys of getting to that step (or the why nots):

Your life is in danger: I say, there's is a chance you will not be reading this tomorrow because someone is threatening you. Moving out is now getting out alive.

Your mental health is negative: your physical health was not threatened, but you're in that dangerous place where one more comment will be one too many.

You want out of the toxic ambiance: this was my situation, my family loves me, not complaining about that. But, I'm almost thirty and, if I'm not home by seven, my mom will call looking for me, wanting to know *where* I am. And their toxic way of thinking affects my way of thinking if I interact too much.

It's a necessity: not an emergency, not for your mental health. And there are three situations: You are moving to study, and your budget is tight, you are getting together and will share expenses with an s.o. or you are moving because of a job, and have a good budget to get accommodated.

It's that time in your life: You are an adult, you have a nice job, you saved enough money and now you want to get a nice place.

With those situations in mind, I'll make a check list for anybody in each of these situations know what to get that is necessary to live and adult like a proper member of society (even if capitalism is shitty and I wanted all of us to be in situation 3>)

Just to say that the text is absolutely out of order and barely understandable.

I know there's a lot of talk about r@pe culture in women but, and I think it's important to talk about it as well, there's not enough people talking about the way lgbtq+ representation is sexualized. Especially m|m relationships.

Now, first, I know this apply to all and w|w or any other non heterosexual relationship is excluded from this but i want to talk about it because the most that consume _this_ type of media are women.

I am a woman. I consume lgbtq+ media. This is why I think I can talk about this issue. I do not agree with how this media represent human relationships.

Women are the biggest part of the ones that write some seriously disturbing gay books/fics, the ones made for women to consume. And the worst isn't that they are disturbing because they are gore or something like that. No, it's in the abusive, but cute, relationships. (this was sarcasm).

It's about the aggressive behaviour, the lack of consent, the tears and "mind washing" (forgot the right name for it). And it's about people finding it cute.

I can't say how.much this is not an attack at your sexual preferences like BDSM or something like that. This is a critic about how many people find it cute, and acceptable, and that it is okay because is between 2 boys.

And now I noticed it can fit for romantizing any problematic relationships. Any kind. It's not about the angst or finding that the problematic ship is interesting read. Is about finding it cute.

I know there are some fics that rewrite the whole thing to make problematic pairings work. It's not about it. It's about the ones that look problematic pairings in the eye and don't see the problem with it.

And, again, maybe I am completely wrong about those people because that is all they ever knew.

Easy way to write a _good_ female character. Just ask yourself:

Would it be weird if it was a man doing/thinking/behaving that way?

If no, you're probably good to go (you hold the two to the same standards)

If yes: is this related to bodily functions (pee/menstruation) or cultural/historial setting (and you are aware that it can be problematic)?

- If yes, again, you're probably good to go.
