You can’t ‘reclaim’ the term Asperger’s, because the whole fucking point of the term is to say some people with a certain handful of symptoms shouldn’t be lumped in with the rest of us autistic people, because they’re fundamentally better for having that specific set of symptoms. It’s a term that prioritizes stepping on your own community to cater to neurotypicals (and yknow fucking nazis in case anyone forgot that part). There’s no reclaiming that can happen here; if someone says they have Asperger’s, I feel very unsafe around them, because I’m rightfully afraid they’re going to look down on me for being autistic.

No one would think it was funny to bully an Autistic Child™, and you don’t think bullying Autistic Children™ is funny! That’s horrible! But when I say that story about a “weird kid” you knew that got bullied isn’t funny, you’re like “Well…that’s different! She was really weird, I mean she MEOWED at people!”

not getting jokes and sarcasm

when in my experience it's more like

thinking you have to fulfill 100% of the exact requirements for something, when everyone else apparently knows it's actually a bit flexible

answering rhetorical questions and everyone thinking you're stupid

SAYING something with a literal meaning and others interpreting it figuratively

following instructions to a T but not knowing how to modify them if something goes wrong

wait that song was talking about WHAT??

doing EXACTLY what someone asked of you and them getting mad that it wasn't what they meant or actually wanted

being terrified of people's empty threats or hyperbole without realizing they didn't actually mean it

memorizing all the connotations of different words so you can use them as precisely as possible, getting frustrated when others are inexact
