A lot of shows will have a character with a cool facet of their backstory that barely shows up when it’s not necessary, but not Vikram

Vikram talks like he’s from the 1800’s, he dresses like he’s from the 1800’s, every other episode we see him discover some facet of modern technology, or we see him mangle a phrase, or we see him not know what something is, means, or does

His mindset is often different from the others’ in a way that is clearly influenced by his era. We see his grief all the time at being stuck in the future separated from the one he loved.

First off is Charlie, which is pretty obvious. Wendy is the eldest sibling who is responsible for looking after her little brothers all day while her parents work. She’s essentially their mother, making sure they’re dressed and taking their medicine, putting them to sleep, etc. She does everything for them, the same way Charlie takes care of the Librarians and makes sure they’re doing all the things they have to be doing and keeping them safe and doing all the administration for them while not being appreciated for all her work.

Next is Vikram, and his role and Lysa’s are intertwined. Whenever Hook hears the ticking of a clock he’s reminded immediately of a part of himself he’s lost. He is constantly chased by this sound that wants nothing more than to devour him whole, to take the rest of him. The crocodile swallowed the clock when it was young, the ticking sound is all it hears all the time, and the Croc chases the only one familiar to it in all this world, one it thinks of as family because of the encounter when it gained the clock.
