It had to have been after the Chantry reclaimed the place (in the last ten-ish years.) So Roderick, pretty much as we know him, finding an overgrown mystery path going off to Maker knows where and thinking ‘yes.’ “I walked it on a whim.” Roderick, you could have been eaten by a bear.
