Owen likes to watch cartoons & Disney movies. Alice came home from work one day to find a then-teenage Owen sitting, cross-legged, right up in front of the TVâglued to it, watching The Lion King. When she asked him if he wanted a grilled cheese or something to eat he interrupted her with âShhh! Shhâ and kept watching with solemn intensity and childlike fascination.
Owen still has a stuffed kitten plush from when he was five that heâs convinced no one knows about. He named it Pinball after his late cat. He keeps it in the back of his closet and clings to it in his sleep when heâs had a bad day.
When Owen was 14 he âlostâ the cat plushie (Alice had accidentally thrown it away while cleaning, thinking Owen didnât want it) and locked himself in his room and broke down crying when he thought no one was listening. Alice literally dug through raw garbage for him, found it at the bottom of one of the cans, washed it and returned it to him. She peeked in on him that night and saw him asleep with the plush in his arms.
Owen can get very particular about what he eats, especially when it comes to wanting things especially spicy. Alice will be in the middle of ordering pizza and Owen will be behind her whispering: âAl. Alâdonât forget the peppers. Al, donâAlice. The peppers, remember to tell them peppers on half. Alice. Mom. Mom. Mom. Can you hear me? Get peppers. Mom. Mom.â
Little Anthony gets very very very excited about cars. His room is full of toy cars, including a little motorized one he can ride around in, but they keep that one in the garage. He can only play with it on weekends because he got so obsessed with driving it up and down the street that it was constantly running out the battery and it was getting kind of expensive to fund little Chaineyâs joyriding habit. When he has a friend over itâs very important that they understand that they ride shotgun. He once tried to kick a kid out of his 6th birthday party because the kid insisted that he get a turn with the car. Donât touch the whip
The car makes a âvrrmmm vrmmmâ noise but little Chainey is insistent on making the âvrrmmm vrmmmâ noise himself as well, just in case you didnât know what he was driving was a car.
If you pull him over and ask for his license & registration heâll pull a Chips Ahoy out of his pocket and hand it to you.
Heâs is the worldâs biggest mamaâs boy, even into canon-era; when he goes to bed and starts to doze, he imagines her stroking his cheek with her thumb and hushing him to sleep.
The dog whistle means a lot because he remembers mom got it for him. He keeps it on his dresser, along with all the other things that make him think of her.
Dad loved him a lot growing upâhe was always playing and goofing around with him, ruffling his hair and helping him with his shoelaces. He tries not to think about it.
