It took me so so long to write the last chapter…because one ending I had was happy, the one I ultimately went with in the end….and the other was really sad and really different. I think you got it spot on for M and M though…it’s a combination of love and toxicity. They are in love but the way they express it is unorthodox. I actually dated a person like that - so it came from a personal experience from me - something people who don’t know me were so quick to judge me for when it came to the ending. With the way things are in the world right now…it’s very different from when I first started writing the story back in 2018 and I figured that there is enough sadness in the world right now. I didn’t need to add to that for the characters in this story. People saw iridium as an escape and as much as it would have been « empowering » I suppose for Mollie to be alone, Micah made her stronger and capable for her role even if the route he chose doing so wasn’t right.

I would love to. But the story would be very different if I did and would be closer to a dark YA romance. So very different than the story you guys have come to know.

Because Mollie was a commoner and Gibbs was literally a right hand man to the Lyon princes. Their paths would have never crossed prior to Questershire. Your second question is definitely addressed and answered in the story :)
