My designs/interpretations of the SFOTH swords! It's a little story/AU thing I've been juggling in my head and playing w/. I have plentiful of lore and notes I scrambled down of these guys that I can take a BIIIG lore dump that you can totally ignore.
The swords are guardians of The Heights, floating islands built by their creator long ago. Keeping the islands afloat is the heart, remnants of their creator's power, which they protect from dark forces that threaten to take the powers.
Linked: His strong connection to the heart grants him healing powers. Which would be useful, if he could remember how to use it. Because of his amnesia, he lacks the social skills of being around others and experience of being a sword. But Linked still makes an effort to be kind and compassionate, despite past interactions he can't recall.
Firebrand: Protector of the isles, first in line to take down any threats that come his way. If it's not obvious, he can control fire and the magma within the islands. A well-seasoned veteran that's lived through his prime, looking for the next fight that'll reignite his passion for battle. Has a crude, almost cynical humor that makes him insufferable to be around, but he's good at his job so what can you do?
Windforce: Scouts the skies for any impending dangers. His shout's powerful enough to command storms and uses his blade to harness the power of electricity. Despite his stoic and quiet nature, he's intuitive towards people and observant of the smallest details. This can make him blunt with his words, which his lack of social awareness doesn't help. Because of his powers, he's a mute, but can communicate through sign language.
Venomshank: Corrosive acid runs through her blood, which she uses during battle. Her affinity to nature allows her to communicate to the fauna, which she maintains on the islands. She's hostile, putting it lightly. Independent and uncooperative from other swords, her more vulnerable emotions are only shared closest to her.
Icedagger: Warden of the heights, she builds ice constructs and commands a fleet of ice golems to keep the island in line. She builds for a brighter future of the isles that she deems safe. She command her army with detailed calculation and strict regulation, never a moment of rest for this sword.
Ghostwalker: Able to phase through any obstacle and walk through different planes of life. Ghostwalker keeps track of the mortals on the island and guides their souls into the after life. Charming and kind, they share their wisdom to others who need it most and is always quick to give advice- willingly or not.
Darkheart: Opens rifts through the darkness, allowing them to travel wherever and take whatever they want through the shadows. Their powers makes them convenient as a messenger between the swords, and unfortunate as a hoarder. They have a curiosity over everything and are constantly observing from their shadows, listening to conversations they shouldn't hear and keeping secrets they shouldn't know. Nosy prick.
Illumina: Leader of the swords, protector of the heart. She bends light to her will to create illusions and powerful beams of light. A true noble heart, she speaks as a mentor figure and guides her swords. Though soft-spoken and kind, the isolation of her position leaves her to be incredibly lonely.

I get a LOT of asks about "does xyz exist in enabler au" to which I say "probably." I don't have rules for the world building in the AU besides "supernatural bullshit doesn't happen" so most characters/games will likely appear as cameos or references.. if its a character from a psychological horror they have a higher proc of showing up and being an actual character "does that mean-" YES they MIGHT show up.

how does ivan and thomas feel about jim’s hoarding? do either of them ever like get onto jim about his hoarding? do they force him to clean his mess?
It wasn't a problem at first with Ivan and Thomas. Forgotten trash around the apartment, dishes sitting out on his computer desk, simple things they could brush off since Jim just came out of homelessness. But the garbage mound in his room began to grow (and smell) which became obvious that it's more than a bad habit.
Ivan's more direct with Jim on his hoarding problem and just wants to clean out everything. He would totally just shovel everything into trash bags and toss them if Jim didn't go into a full on meltdown. So he tries to comb through Jim's room on his own terms- very slowly.
Thomas tries to help by getting Jim to help out on chores/simple errands, so he can hopefully pick up on these basic skills and make them into habits. Thomas doesn't harp on Jim's hoarding too hard like Ivan, but gently nudges on Jim to remember to put away his dirty plates.
