Yeah it isn't. I mean that would be a weird first name lol, like meeting someone called "Human" lmao

Is it weird to say I don't know what his name is? I always knew from the start I'd just have him be referred to as Penguin since that's his canon name in fnac, and I didn't wanna feel like I was "forcing" a name on a character.

For other characters I have names to it felt different, like Vincent is a popular headcanon name for the puppeteer, and for Cassie's dad in the OG fic since we know almost nothing about him in canon, I was already filling in so many blanks giving him a name didn't feel as wrong, he was basically an OC

I'm not sure if Penguin has a popular fanon name BCS I couldn't really find any, and he has a very defined personality and appearance in canon too.

I think if I picked a weird name people didn't vibe with it'd really take them out of the story so I opted to explain his name as being a nickname due to the fact Penguins aren't common in Hurricane (Since it's a desert, and all) so Being a Penguin™️ is his most defining feature
