Apparently, he has a school uniform version open for preorder RIGHT NOW, until 8/18/2026.

Now, I am planning to attend Tanabata this weekend, so maybe I could see if the Little Tokyo anime stores have a Deku Nendoroid. Turns out, Anime Jungle does have Nendoroid Deku in the superhero costume that I want…But he's $109.99! (https://animejungle.net/my-hero-academia-nendoroid-figure-izuku-midoriya-105101849/?searchid=824781&search_query=midoriya) Nope. I'm starting to like BNHA, but not THAT much.

On the other hand, this school uniform Nendoroid Deku is a very affordable $36.99, which is how much I'm willing to pay for Deku.

And now that I look at it, the superhero costume Deku only comes with battle/angry faces and his only smiling face has closed eyes, which isn't very identifying. Meanwhile, this school uniform Deku has a nice, open-eyed, happy face. Maybe I should get him, along with the other figures I need to preorder this month?

Gawd. I hope these tariffs are done. The courts are already paying back companies that charged them. A $37 Nendoroid may be affordable, but after tariffs, my past $44 preorder jumped to $71, and my $25 preorder jumped to $40.

Also, art school graduate here: that method is very messy. Most people can't always stand over a trash can or let graphite shavings possibly smear over everything.
