I disappeared from Tumblr not because I stopped caring, not because Gaza became safe, and not because the war ended. I disappeared because life forced me to make decisions I never imagined I would have to make. I sold my phone so I could provide food and water for my family and the children, and then I bought a cheap phone with very limited capabilities. In Gaza, the phone I once used to connect with the world became less important than providing a meal for a hungry child.

I came back today to see that people are still talking about Gaza, but the suffering of the children has not stopped. Children don’t understand politics or negotiations, and they don’t know what plans and statements mean. They know hunger, fear, displacement, and cold. They know what it feels like to lose their homes, their safety, and people they love. For them, war is not just a headline on a screen it is a childhood being stolen from them day after day.

I came back to Tumblr because I could no longer stay silent. Maybe I returned with a simple phone, but I returned with a voice that wants to remind the world of one thing: Don’t forget the children of Gaza. If you cannot help them, share their stories, reblog their voices, and help their message reach others. Because a child who goes to sleep hungry tonight cannot wait for another headline, another plan, or another promise.

This is true for many children, especially the younger ones. However, many children also have the ability to learn at least the basics of what those things mean. The reason why many of these children don't know what they mean is because, as (name) put it: "They know hunger, fear, displacement, and cold. They know what it feels like to lose their homes, their safety, and people they love. For them, war is not just a headline on a screen it is a childhood being stolen from them day after day."

Thousands of schools were turned to ruin because of this war. Most parents don't have the time, resources, or energy to teach their kids on their own. Of course, children do exists in Palestine who understand politics and social issues. They are fighting too.

That does not mean, however, that people outside of Palestine should act hopeless and give up trying. That is (and excuse me, but c'mon) bullshit. You have no justification to stop helping these people. I understand the feeling of hopelessness, but acting on it by ignoring this genocide is not an option.
